Katie and Joe,

Excellent review and very informative. I especially was happy to see the fun times pictured. This will be our 10th with Carnival (April 2012) making us VIP Platinum. But it will be our first docked overnight anywhere. My dh is concerned about things being closed on the ship (CASINO!!!!) while in port. But now I can show him how much there is to do between the island and the ship. It sounds and looks beautiful. I just hope it is warm enough in late april to appreciate the beaches. If you get a chance to find the website or # for the Bermuda travel & tourism, it would be greatly appreciated. We too like to plan for months in advance. That night cruise tour of the Bermuda Triangle sounds like fun. Maps are good too, lol. Thank you for all the info and photos.

Margie and crew.:)

YIPEEEE FOR VIP!!!! Congrats on that! Tell your husband not to worry, Joe loves the casino too, but there is soooo much to do and see in Bermuda!

I would think April would be a great time to go, and not as humid! It was very humid while we were there. Everywhere you walked you did sweat, and just imagine after we walked ALL THE WAY to the top of the Lighthouse, only 185 steps!! LOL Yes we were hot to say the least!!....but the views make up for it! :D

Yes, I will look when I get home for the Bermuda Tourism # or email address so they can send you the package I got....

Yes, the night cruise was AWESOME!!! Highly recommend it! :)

Katie, thank you for giving me such an enjoyable few hours reading through your cruise week! We will be in Bermuda the first few days in May at the end of our Caribbean cruise on Celebrity Summit. I too am extremely organized and have booked outside excursions in the other ports. I've been in 'Bermudaland' the past week or so, thinking how to plan the day and 1/2 we will be there. Taxi? No taxi? Excursion? NO excursion? So much we want to do, so little time! Not sure if it will be swimming on the beach weather at the beginning of May, but we sure do love the beach!

For our first 1/2 day, I think we want to walk to 'Sea Glass Beach' (which is about 25 minutes from dockyard) to pick up a bunch of seaglass in the sand. Other than that, I'm still in research mode! I would LOVE to go to Horseshoe Bay-it looks so beautiful!

I didn't notice if you went to St Georges's at all??

Bonnie

Hi Bonnie! So glad you enjoyed it! :)

Yes as you have seen already there is sooo much to do! As I was telling someone earlier, I think May would be fine, it was so hot and humid while we were there, so I would think the heat and humidity wouldn't be as bad then. That's just my assumption anyway!

I don't see how ANYONE could go to Bermuda and not see the 2nd most beautiful beach in the world!!!! So I highly recommend you go there, even if just to take pictures!

We didn't go to St. George for a couple reasons - we aren't big history buff and into all the forts and all that so we just didn't have a lot of interest in all that, plus we had heard Tobacco Bay was great for snorkeling but we did a seperate tour for that, so we just skipped that entirely, but each to their own. I am sure there is a lot to do and see but we were content with the plans we had and staying in the southern and central area of Bermuda. With that said, Bermuda is such a nice little paradise that I am sure anywhere - whether St George, Hamilton, or Dockyard - you will find lots of fun stuff to do!

Katie & Joe

That has got to be one of the Top 10 cruise reviews ever written on this site. Thanks so much for your time and effort. I think you guys should get a $$$ kickback from the Bermuda tourist council; as I'm sure many folks will now visit based on your report !

The photo on page 7 that is 1/2 water and 1/2 clouds/sky is so cool ! I'd love to use that as a wallpaper on my computer. Is there a way you could send me the photo file via email ? Copying and saving it did not work - it distorted the image.

Thank you so much for the kind words!! That would be AWESOME on a kickback, but I doubt that would ever happen!....and honestly I had fun writing and telling about our trip and sharing all the pictures so I am happy with that! I am so glad that everyone has enjoyed it so much!....watch our Bermuda, here comes EVERYONE!!!:p ....Kidding!

I would love to share my picture, can you be more specific which one? I had several water/cloud pics on that page, give me a post# and then tell me the 2nd one down or whichever it is. Give me your email and I will get it headed your way!:)

Thank you so much Charlene! Such sweet comments!:)

The camera was a Samsung AQ100.....12.2 megapixels. I bought it before our last cruise for around $100, but the quality of pics is great! I recommend it, even for non underwater pics. We only use it for underwater but in the past we've used it for other things & it works great!

Regarding my black dress....thank you! I bought it & the blue one from formal night 1 from Dillards.

Katie, yes I did eat that entire 24 oz porterhouse right down to the bone! Made sure I was very hungry walking into David's. I sure do miss Bermuda and that hot and humid weather! Bob:)

That's a LOT of steak!!! We usually eat a very light lunch the day of going to Davids and then the next day we eat another light lunch from being so full still from it!! It is yummy though! I know, we miss bermuda too :(.....hopefully soon we can all return again!

Yes, I will look when I get home for the Bermuda Tourism # or email address so they can send you the package I got....

The "Official Site of the Bermuda Department of Tourism" is: www.gotobermuda.com. You can order a free brochure (click on maps and brochures). I got it within a few days. The best part of the guide is the map. The other info is hotels, restaurants, spas and golf. I didn't find that info very helpful but it's free and the map is totally worth it.

Katie, thanks again for your wonderful review. It is definitely helping our planning process. You guys looked like you had a great time and I can't wait! :)

The next day, debarkation, we had the smoothest probably that we have had yet. First let me say, unlike the Conquest we went on last year, they do not wake you up at 6am saying we gotta get off the boat, yada yada......they never bothered us in our staterooms with no announcements! We were to be back in Baltimore at 9am. We were up and ready before that and said goodbye to our stateroom and headed to the Lido for a last buffel meal on the Lido deck. We sat and relaxed for awhile.

We didn't do self assist, so we had zone 9. About 10:30am, we were called for our zone, we headed down and all was as smooth and organized as ever! After we got off the ship, our bags were sitting right there waiting on us! Our flight back home wasn't until 4:00pm, so we headed onto the airport about 11:00am.....luckily had smooth flights back home, now back to the grind! :)

Well, I have come to the end of my review of our wonderful trip to Bermuda!!! I hope each of you have enjoyed it and I have helped some of you decide where you need to go on your next cruise!! :)

Here is 2 pictures to close on:

Please feel free to ask any questions about Bermuda, the ship, or anything, I am happy to answer. Hope each of you have a wonderful week & many wonderful cruises to come. God Bless!

Thoroughly enjoyed your posts! This brings it all to life for me. It's hard to imagine a vacation like this unless you can experience it, even if it's through one who has been there. You should consider writing a travel blog. I have to show this to my hubby-he is letting me do all the planning and I think this would clinch Bermuda for him. I hope to see more on your next "adventure":)
