Best Piano Entertainer on Carnival? (Part 2)

By far and away the best piano bar entertainer we have ever seen was a Canadian gal by the name of Heather on the HAL Maasdam in January 2009. She was wonderful - we spent every night in the piano bar, she was that good!! Was hoping to see her name on the CCL list, would love to see her again.

The fellow in the piano bar on CCL Liberty in October 2010 was not that great IMO. He looked like John Belushi and wasn't super talented, and did not have that great a personality IIRC. I'm hoping for better this time around (CCL Liberty next month!).

Has anyone spent time in the Piano Bar with this guy? What's his style? Someone posted that he played songs slower. We love the Piano Bar and love to sing along and laugh until we are hourse each night. We have only experienced Chris ? who was on the Splendor last year and we really liked him. We enjoy the classic 60's, 70's and 80's rock. Anyone have a review?

Thank you.

Any news yet on who will be on Carnival Miracle? She should be coming out of dry dock and sailing on Friday 1/27.

We don't sail until March 1, but it would be nice to know who will be in the piano bar as it is a big part of our entertainment!

Thanks!

Could you please find out how long "Music Boardwalk" will be on the Miracle for? I plan to cruise in April and hope to see them in NY. Thanks for the info. By the way, they are a great cover band and also do the Ticket to Ride show. Thanks again.

Unless I've missed this above, does anybody know who's playing on the Spirit. Leaving on the 12th of February and really like the piano bars. A good Piano entertainer really makes a good cruise and great cruise for me. Thanks:confused:

Keith Turner is back on the Spirit.

Has anyone spent time in the Piano Bar with [Jerone Imani Howard]?

I think it's gonna depend on what you like with him. He uses tracks for most of his upbeat songs. He's very much a jazz guy and plays crazy nuts solos, although some of you probably don't care to hear that in a piano bar, depends on what you like. He's a great guy and has a great personality.

When you get back, could you please tell me your opinion of Brad? Thanks and have a good cruise.

Last March we were on the Liberty with Brad at the Piano Bar and he was fabulous. Very personable, wicked talented and he always had the place hopping later in the evening. He starts off with more of the piano bar "classics" and gets more upbeat as the night goes on, but once it hits 11 or 12:00 at night, he plays some great (very funny and entertaining) "R" rated songs. We spent each night there and at the casino and had a blast!

Does anyone know who is going to be on the Glory at the end of March? We are sailing on March 25th and the last list I saw had Tom Riccio on there through 2/26, but I haven't seen anything updated. Does anyone know anything about him, in case he stays on the Glory during our cruise? I can't seem to find out much about him.

Thanks!

I was on the Sensation last week and really enjoyed Barry. He was wildly entertaining and interacted well with everyone in the room. Definitely not PG and had my friends and I cracking up the entire night!

Hi, I absolutely love Barry. He has been the best piano player I've seen so far. I don't know if you can get any better. We had him on the Dream awhile back and he kept everyone in stitches. I love the spinning piano.:D

I'm cruising in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know who the piano player will be on Mar 4 Magic?

Hello,

Just found out that Doug Ross is now on the Carnival Freedom as of 1/22/12. I'm not sure how long he is on board for. I'm sailing 3/10/12.. anyone know if Doug Ross gets a good crowd going???

Sue

Thanks Sue!

Have heard some good things about Doug, but will report back after the Feb 25th sailing!

Thanks JXR. Does he keep a crowd going? What kind of genre? Can't wait!

Ron can certainly keep the crowd going! He actually feeds off the energy that's in the Piano Bar. The louder it gets, the better he gets. He plays pretty much anything. He can do Show Tunes, 70/80's music, the latest hits! Country, rock you name it!

Plus, the seats in the Piano Bar will be at a Premium that week. Last year, we had to show up extra early in order to get a seat at the Piano!

Plus, he's pretty easy on the eye! LOL

Come in and say hi to us! We'll be the crazy people sitting around the piano. Haha

Joanne
