I booked a standard inside on the QE Guarantee. I have been notified that I will be in No. 1018. This is described as a De Luxe inside. I cannot see any difference, is there any? Also the cabin is under the casino. Does anyone know if there will be any noise at night please? And can your hear the music from the theater?

Hello

I was in a similar cabin just up the corridor a couple of years ago on QV, Deck 1, port side forward. These are slightly larger than the other inside cabins, if only to allow for the sofa bed. I liked it - very convienient for the theatre but I noticed no disturbance from there or from the casino.

I was on a guarantee also.

Cheers

As daneelgiskard has said these are a bit larger than the standard insides. This is a D2 on Queen Victoria (1074) it is below the Queen's Room and we never heard a sound from there. We have had this cabin twice now, and have the one next door booked for our next trip.

I had same cabin on a 28 day cruise on QV last yer.

Found it excellent for space and location. In fact when on day 12 I was informed by letter left on the bed , that the cabin was going to be given to other passengers and that I was to move into a"smaller" cabin. (albeit with a very small window at sea level) I flatly and positively , absolutely refused to move. I kept the cabin

The other passengers wanted my D2 because it was larger than the "higher" grade cabin they had booked.

Hi,

I am traveling on the 2012 WC and I am a bit concerned about storage in the cabin. Does anyone know if a standard large suitcase fits under the bed; or how high off the floor the bed is? I am presuming passengers are expected to store their luggage under the bed if this is inaccurate please let me know.

Also in the bathroom is there storage for toiletries? under the sink? Does anyone know how much space is there? I was thinking I would get two small- medium containers one for each of us in the room to store our toiletries in that we could keep under the sink when not in use. Does this sound doable?

Luggage easily fits under the bed. For the world cruise I had a 29 inch suitcase and a 25 inch and they both fit on one side and my husband had enough room for his luggage on his side. There are pull out drawers under the end of the bed with plenty of storage.

In the bathroom there are 2 glass shelves mounted on the wall plus a bit of counter space. I believe there is an open shelf under the sink/counter area that's about 3 feet long.

Hi

You don't say which ship you are travelling on - but if it the QM2 you will have plenty of storage space for your cases under the bed and in the bathroom we had no problems with storing bathroom things (and no-one takes as much bathroom junk as I do!). We fitted 3 large and 2 small suitcases under the bed with ease. And if it is a problem, your cabin steward can arrange for a case or 2 to be put into storage if you ask..

The QV was similar for storage although the shower itself is rather small on the QV. haven't been on QE so can't comment

On both ships I actually find the drawer space a bit lacking - but maybe that's just me!:D The QV had 2 pull out drawers at the end of the bed which then did restrict the space under the bed and you needed big muscles to pull them out!

There is plenty of room for four large suitcases under the bed on QM2 but, as said, on QV there are drawers under the bed - we just got back of QE and it two has two huge and very heavy drawers under the bed. On this occasion our stateroom steward took away and stored three large suitcases for us so no problem there.

As regards storage under the counter in the bathroom: on all three ships there is a long shelf with plenty of storage space under the counter but beware: if you end up with a disabled stateroom - which is very roomy - in the bathroom there will be no counter or shelving and nothing under the sink at all, this is to enable wheelchair users to get right up close to the basin.

Hi All,

We will be on the QM2 for 108 days. To use the closet space efficiently I thought I we could use hangers that cascade to hold 6 hangers. While watching YouTube videos I noticed the cabins do not appear to have regular hangers; rather they have hangers that attach to a ring around the bar. Can these be replaced by regular hangers? I'm not sure how to adapt my plan for those hangers.

Any suggestions?

In our A2 stateroom we had one wardrobe with the hangers you describe (attached to rings) going across the width but there was a little extra space for your own and another albeit smaller wardrobe with no hangers - which is ideal for either taking your own, or the cabin steward will supply you with some. This wardrobe had a pull out "towards you" rail if you understand what I mean! This enabled you to get to the items at the back more easily.

The hangers with rings can be removed - although the rings can't.

Hope that helps.

The hangers are similar to this

You can take you own normal type hangers to hang next to them. We usually take a few lightweight plastic ones with us.

Hi ,

Thanks for the response. Are regular hangers( not attached to a ring on the bar) available from the room Stewart ?

Kit

I've seen regular hangers on the QV and QE (in the area under the safe) but don't remember them on the QM2.

They are. I've found the best way of reliably obtaining them is to leave a note in your room for the steward - he/she, being busy on embarkation day, will then remember to obtain them when they get a spare moment.

I've always found them waiting by the time we get back to the room after our first wander around/lifeboat drill.
