Ice Skating

Recommended Posts

Our family has skated Mariner, Freedom and Allure...

As mentioned, the rinks are small and often crowded. We found the times in the compass and everyone did get to skate, but mostly just round and round in a circle. When it is really crowded the time on ice is limited to 20 minutes. Our son took his own skates the first time on Mariner, but decided it was not worth it for other trips.

OP, the kids will be able to skate but they will not be allowed to play hockey. Hockey sticks are actually on the list of prohibited items (not sure if people even know that). Anyway, as stated, the rink is small and crowded, and you skate in a circle. If you get going too fast or try to do spins and jumps, you may be asked to tone it down a bit as many of the passengers do not skate well (but they're trying, and having fun!).

Enjoy your cruise, whichever ship you decide upon.
