I have a Q about the liquor in the duty free store. If you can only bring back on liter duty free per person, why do they sell 2.5 and 3L sized bottles? Do they charge you the difference?

You can bring back as much as you want, while they can charge you the duty, normally they dont, unless you are bringing back 8-10 liters. Its just not worth the time and paperwork for the agents and it holds up the line.

This letter was in my cabin the final night, the party is over :)

I always opt for self assist, we were ask to wait in the lounge on deck 9 at the back of the ship. Around 8:30 we were escorted to the mid ship elevators and then off the ship. I was surprised that CBP were just standing at the terminal taking customs declaration forms, barely looking at them, not saying a word and not asking to see passports or Birth Certificate..but it did cause the line to move at warp speed.

I used http://vipparknride.com/ for parking and shuttle service. Due to the late arrival of the ship, it was a log jam at the park and ride, which thankfully cleared up when the 52 passenger bus arrived.

After the cruise I found the VIP rep in the red shirt and she called my called my ticket number in so my truck was pulled out and waiting on me, the valet is a nice perk. Total cost for the parking and shuttle for 5 days was around $28 vs $75 parking at the port. The location is out by the airport, so for those traveling from the North, you also nice not to have to drive all the way to the cruise terminal and deal with all that port traffic.

My last look at Fascination

Feel free to ask any questions, I didnt eat in the MDR so I cant address any of those questions. Had a great time in the club, Karaoke and the comedy shows. Weather was perfect all week, until we started heading back to Jax, then it turned chilly.

I did a video tour of the ship, but cant find the clips..not sure if I deleted them, will check again tonight.

Since Carnival started charging 200% for solo cabins, it just hasnt been worth it to me to take short cruises. I can get them so much cheaper on Royal, but since I had a $200 credit to use and it was just a 200 mile drive, I opted to take a short cruise on Fascination. Had a great time, but this will probably be my last solo short cruise with Carnival. I will stick with 7-8 day cruises with the Early Saver Promo.

Great pix. We were on the cruise before you. Sorry for the delay.;)

We also used VIP parking and they were waiting for us. It must have been nuts for you.

We were among the first off the ship at noon. Lots of unhappy people worried about missing their flights.

Do you know why the lifeboats were lowered in Nassau? Is this a standard every so often exercise?

Are you supposed to list on the forms how much you have?

Yes, I woke up and saw fog, then didnt think anything about it. Checked out of my airport hotel and drove over to VIP around 10:30, they told me about the late arrival and not to come back until 1pm. When I drove back there were cars backed up and shuttles offloading people, it was crazy. If they didnt bring over that big bus, things might have gotten nasty...lol

Im guessing it was just a standard drill for the crew with the lifeboats

Great review. Making me want to go right now and my b2b on the Fascination is not until Oct. I may have to find another one in between times!

Thanks, Have a great cruise!!

Thanks for the review and the videos. It's kinda nice to be able to get familiar with the ship before sailing. I'm so psyched now.

You are more than welcome!!

Glad I could help
