AcadiaL Posted February 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Just printed our Celebrity Xpress pass and once again they failed to include our middle names and the Jr. after my husband's name. We know that this can create a big problem at check-in as the names have to match. Anyone else have this happen to them? Why can't Celebrity and RCCL get it right the first time? Now I have to call and get this corrected.
Rare uktog Posted February 14, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Our express documents have never had my middle name and it has never been a problem.
CruisingChick Posted February 14, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Same problem here. My name on my drivers license and passport is Anne Maria. Celebrity some how knocked the Maria off and my documents always just say Anne. Not sure if it's their system or what. I've never had a problem boarding the ship. candbgirl Posted February 14, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2012 They always knock the Elizabeth out of mine. I've never had a problem. Enjoy your cruise.
Ma Bell Posted February 14, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Don't worry, they always do this.
bestmom1 Posted February 14, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2012 truly, as long as your first and last names are correct, it won't be a problem.
Rare Azulann Posted February 14, 2012 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2012 I thought it is only on airline tickets when traveling out of US that your name on passport must match your name of airline ticket.
dodger1964 Posted February 14, 2012 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Just checked my printed out "express pass" for upcoming cruise...both of our middle names are not printed on the form. Must be SOP. enjoy your trip.
LMKohler Posted February 14, 2012 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2012 They never include our middle initials or the "Jr" after my DH name. We have never had a problem either. Lucy
starlake Posted February 14, 2012 #10 Share Posted February 14, 2012 We tried to get Jr., added to DH's name added for years. We finally just gave up. We have not had a problem boarding.
Iamthesea Posted February 14, 2012 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Although not printed out on your Celebrity boarding pass, I believe the names are in the system and on the computers at check-in.
TRadle Posted February 14, 2012 #12 Share Posted February 14, 2012 We had this happen with an airline ticket and I called the airline about it. They say that the computer shows the whole name and that they do not print it on the tickets. This was on American Airlines.
AcadiaL Posted February 15, 2012 Author #13 Share Posted February 15, 2012 I guess I will not have to bother calling Celebrity since it appears we are not the only ones. Thanks so much.
bbappel Posted February 15, 2012 #14 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Now you have me worried because my middle name is my name. Celebrity has me as H Elizabeth since that's what my passport says, but I bet my cruise docs will just say H. Darn, I don't want to be "H" I want to be Beth or Elizabeth. Parents - don't do this to your children. Beth regrettably aka H - but not enough to change my name
Project_gal Posted February 15, 2012 #15 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Just printed our Celebrity Xpress pass and once again they failed to include our middle names and the Jr. after my husband's name. We know that this can create a big problem at check-in as the names have to match. Anyone else have this happen to them? Why can't Celebrity and RCCL get it right the first time? Now I have to call and get this corrected. Been through this last year when a problem between the Captain's Club system and the Reservations system meant that my middle name could not be input. As a result, I learned a great deal about the ins and outs of the problem. What is important is that you have correctly entered your full name [as on your passport] onto the Reservations system. Your middle name [and suffix] will not show on your Express Pass but it must me on the system [which you can see online]. Sue
