to upgrade or not to upgrade that is the question

we are currently booked on the legend 4/22/12 in a 4k(inside with french doors). i have a bad obsession of checking prices everyday and we could upgrade to a balcony obstructed view for $260 dollars total for the cabin. what should i do?? it only comes to like $36 a day extra.

Balcony is important to me so I would do it.

Unless you want the balcony - don't do it.

The 4K Rooms are Balcony rooms minus the balcony & view. (Bigger than interiors, have a couch, etc).

If the extra money is ok I agree- I love balconies. But remember- once you go there it is very hard to go back!

260 is a lot for a balcony over an ov, would stay put.

I would be thrilled with a 4K, but Im not the type to sit outside, so having a door open to the outside where I could see some ocean would sure tickle me pink. I have not done Spirit Class and this is the only class that has the 4ks.

I'm having the same dilemna...I cruise a week after you. I'm in a 4K and an upgrade to a balcony would cost me $220. (I have $60 OBC for price drops) I'm gonna keep my 4K. BTW, I think you posted the same question on a different thread a few weeks ago, right?

you all have valid points and that is exactly why i can't decide!!! i love having a balcony but i don't know if i $260 love it

Inside rooms would drive me crazy (my kids had them). Our first cruise we had a window. After that, it was balcony all the way. If your cruise is a warm one, the balcony gives you more space also.

I LOVED seeing your post as I am going through the exact same thing!! It would cost me $280 to go from 4K to obstructed balcony. I have never cruised without a balcony before. We are doing Alaska in May and I was trying to save money. I booked as an early saver and I keep wondering if it will go down further?? My husband tells me to do what I want and if it does go down, then we'll get an OBC. $280?? (Maybe I need to have a drink tonight and just upgrade! LOL)

I did it once. I remember it cost exactly $100. It was too good a deal to pass.
