Leaving carry-on with porter

We will be arriving at the port with one suitcase and a carry-on. Does anyone know if it would be advisable (safe) to also leave our carry-on with the porter, or better to keep it with us like we do on the plane? Just thinking it would be nice to not have to drag around the carry-on until we can get into our room. If it makes any difference, we are leaving on the Glory from NYC. Have never cruised on Carnival, and on Princess the rooms are ready when you board so this hasn't been an issue. Thanks - we're getting excited about our cruise and anxious to try Carnival.

As long as there is nothing of value, it's not a problem. I have sent my weekender with the porters.

It depends on what is in the carry on. If it's just more clothes, sure give it to the porters

 

If you carried it because it is important like medical equipment don't leave it with anyone.

Some i pads have disappeared so if you have nothing of value leave it but we always carry our carry on.

If no valuables and no need for anything in it, sure.

 

We bring a carry-on for things we need until our luggage arrives.

I only keep one bag with electronics and medication with me. I check my carry ons every time.

If you're bringing bottles of wine aboard, you'll need to carry them on in your carry-on.

I suspect things in your carryon are to important to pack in the regular luggage. I always keep our with us.

Now a days some people will have a carry on primarily to avoid the bag fees on the airlines.

You not only need them in your carry on .. but you need to carry it on too.
