I'm enjoying your review. Good job on the pictures. The D40 is a great all-around camera. Is that the 18-55mm lens you are using?

We did something similar last month with our kids, but somehow we were able to keep it a secret until about 30 minutes before arriving at the port (review in my sig).

I think we want to do this one with our family - Galveston is within a days drive for us so we would save a lot on airfare.

Thank-you! These pictures were taken with our Nikon D40, SLR camera. :) I love it, but we do have a waterproof camera (Fuji) & another small Nikon point & shoot camera that we like.

Yes, you are very right on the lens. :) We brought the 300mm lens I think it is? (DH would know, LOL) However, sounds silly, but we never switched out. Hahaa! How cool about keeping it from your kiddos! I'll have to read your review.

We were kind of bummed as we didn't get to watch all of sail away & us turning, but it was 5:00 at this point & we needed to get to the Theatre for the Camp Carnival check-in. Line wasn't too bad, but it was moving a little slowly, but it was our 1st time, so I have nothing to compare it too.

The process itself didn't take very long at all & since we were newbies to CC, it gave us some info that we needed. We finished about 5:45 & headed back to our cabin to drop off the goodies & head to the MDR for dinner.

Dinner Time!!! We had Southern Lights MDR, Upper level, table with my parents. Our waiters were Joaquin, Wayan & Martin. They were great, especially with the kids.
