Its our Ruby Anniversary this October and as Husband can now get time off work we are looking for a Bargain and wondered if cruise lines laid anything on if we informed them. Anyone know please.

As mentioned, you might have a small cake.

The days of lots of celebration and treats for special events are gone for most.

On most cruises, you'll find lots of people are celebrating one thing or another..... brithdays, anniversaries, graduation, honeymoons, surviving serious illness etc

 

Have you TA mention it is a special anniversary anyway. :)

Once on the ship -- mention to the dining room manager that you are celebrating your anniversary.

You might even consider eating at one of the speciality restaurants.

On some lines the cakes are gone. they put a candle in your desert and the waiters do still sing to you.

In addition to a cake, Princess will put a sign and three balloons on your cabin door.

You may wish to look into a Renewal of Vows if it interests you. Some of the ships/cruise lines do a lovely job with those ceremonies.

Look and see if the princess Ruby is cruising then. That's the way we celebrated.No bargains for anniversaries. But do go and enjoy.

There are no special fares for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.

As to whether the cruise line will do something special for you, it depends on the line. Some will still do something at no extra charge (like a sign on the cabin door or a cake in the dining room); on other lines, decorations and cakes are an extra charge, but if you let your waitstaff know, they will put a little decoration on your dessert and sing to you as it's presented.
