Anyone one know of any good motel in singapore Thanks

As far as I am aware, I dont think there are any Motels in Singapore. With the demand and price of real estate , any motel would have been bought up years ago and been replaced by a multi story Hotel , or time share apartments. Only the very wealthy own cars.

Singapore Hotels are not cheap , however you have plenty of time to shop around . There are deals to be had. Sometimes the airlines have good stopover deals, and dont forget to ask your TA for a quote. We found last time that the TA had the best package deal for us as they had access to wholesale rates and could pass on the savings ,for both the flight and the hotel.

Singapore is a fabulous place for a pre or post cruise stay as there is so much to do.

We have only stayed at hotels when we have visited Singapore...but we always look at Tripadvisor. This may be a place to start your search

We keep returning to the Peninsula/Excelsior Hotel because of its location within walking distance of Chinatown, Clarke Quay, Raffles shopping plaza (with food courts) and the Marina Bay area. It is also close to the City Hall MRT stop if you need to use the train. Orchard Road has lots of Hotels but is mainly a shopping area with high priced designer goods.

We used booking.com last time which had the free cancellation option (up to a certain time) and we didn't have to pay until we checked out. It meant I could keep checking on prices to see if I could get a better deal as Hotels in Singapore are quite expensive.

A reasonably priced well located hotel is "The Residences @ Singapore Recreation Club take a look at some of the hotel booking engines for pricing....we stayed there last October for 4 nights and would return without hesitation.....the rate includes full breakfast, subway is 2 min walk ...shops across the road... Marina Bay Sands is 10 minute walk through parklands.. ...hotel is quirky which added to her charm....hope that helps a little cheers Shiona

ps: we also used booking.com credit card guarantee only to book.....

For something totally different the Sentosa Resort and Spa - wandering peacocks, water features, verandah terrace with fans. With the cheap cost of taxis in Singapore it is easy to get around even though it is not in the city itself. There is a free shuttle to Vivo to use public transport if so inclined.

We like the Rendezvous Hotel in Singapore on the corner of Bras Bahah Rd and Belcoonen Sts. Reasonable pricing excellent breakfast . Close to Dhoby Ghaut and Bras Bahah MRT stations . Two blocks to Raffles on Bras Bahah Rd, walking distance to Orchard Rd shopping and markets at Bugis Street .

From Cruise Terminal take taxi (taxis are cheap in Singapore) or MRT from Harbourfront station to Dhoby Ghaut, for Rendezvous Hotel .

We have stayed in Singapore about 10- times and always got a good bargain we use Asia.rooms as they have a good selection and then check against another dealer and see if you are getting the best price. I did not find them expensive at all and the service is excellent everywhere and the breakfasts fill you for half the day :D

4 to 5 star hotels in Jahore Bharu, (over the causeway from Singapore in Malaysia) are a quarter of the price of what you will pay in Singapore. Check them out on Agoda and Asia rooms on Google. The Singapore MRT railway has a station near the border and regular buses at a very low fare operate from the border to Singapore as well. The buses will take you onto Johore Bhuru from Singapore CBD. The only annoying part is that you are required to go through Malaysian immigration on their side and Singapore immigration on the Singapore side each time you go between the two. If you can make an accommodation saving of up to $400 over the 3 days in Singapore it may be worth considering.

One time we stayed in Singapore , we took the tour over to Johore Bahru...they called it the immigration tour as a lot of time was taken up with crossing the borders. They are pretty strict , as Singapore has a lot more taxes on goods etc.
