Penthouse suites.. All in a name?

:) Did they still have the ropes on the veranda railing, holding the overhead pipes in place?

We loved that location--and Anthony, our butler was fabulous. (Never knew I'd use one, but he was a mindreader at times.)

The rope was there- I liked it I felt that if we needed to evacuate, we could climb the rope and swing out to the lifeboat. LOL

I almost hesitate to mention this, because drawing attention to them will just make it more difficult for me to get one, b

Jim, is the first photo a verandha and the second a PH. Thanks for the clarification..

They are both PH cabins

1st is on the R-ships & the other is on the O class ships

showing the difference is size depending on the ship you sail

We were in 10022 on the Riviera TA. The room was absolutely fantastic! The extra room compared to the R class PH was incredible. Would definitely book it again.

We're in that exact cabin on the February 12, 2013 sailing and can't wait. The room looks incredible in pictures. Were there any quirks at all in that room - noises, smells, non-shown obstructions etc. that you can recall so that we can take it into account? How was the butler and do you remember his name?

Thanks.

I was in the OS on one of the R ships that went to Princesss as the TP.

Despite the space I did not love the cabin. Ehile the verandah was in my favorite position, aft, it was cut from the hull which made views difficult unless standing..

Good observation. There are also few balconies aft with that problem and why I stayed clear of my favorite location on one cruise I did. I do not care for the R ships...period. Dining room is nice but my liking ends there Standard balconies too small to be enjoyed.
