Sargent_Schultz Posted February 5, 2013 Author #29 Share Posted February 5, 2013 We will be on this same cruise later this month, I am LOVING THIS review, can't wait to see yummy food pics! Enjoy. Tomorrow is elegant night and the "special" Diamond invitation from the Captain is an invitation to dinner! We meet at a bar and from there, I dunno. We'll see if they will let me take pictures. :)
sjn911 Posted February 5, 2013 #30 Share Posted February 5, 2013 Thanks for report...I like the older rooms with tile shower and the medicine cabinet in bathroom..that is such a nice shower on those ships and I like those cubby hole cabinets; leaving some table space for the life jackets and those ship night light things...nostalgic I guess..have a great time..everyone loved Paradise and Elation so much..thanks for update...Sarah
kybluecruiser Posted February 5, 2013 #31 Share Posted February 5, 2013 Glad to see they got rid of the tv boxes, now if they can get rid of the life jacket box but still love the ship. She was my first.

Yes. Lots of memories and nostalgia, but still some updating, including the flat screen TVs.

She was my first. I'm not quite sure what the could do with it or the life jackets. There isn't a sofa in the room and you can use the top for storage. Sargent_Schultz Posted February 5, 2013 Author #34 Share Posted February 5, 2013 I think when Internet was first added to the ships, it was something like $99 for unlimited, but it really was limited - speed wise. Today, it zips along, relatively speaking (but still slow compared to what we have at home).

Sargent_Schultz Posted February 5, 2013 Author #36 Share Posted February 5, 2013 I've noticed at least 3 pianos on the ship! One at the Lobby Bar
Sargent_Schultz Posted February 5, 2013 Author #37 Share Posted February 5, 2013 Still has the older, and I prefer slide - it dumps you into a pool! These kind have a 48" minimum height requirement.

Sargent_Schultz Posted February 5, 2013 Author #40 Share Posted February 5, 2013 Still a Mongolian Wok (still? I remember before there were any on any of the Carnival ships). This one seemed very efficient. At least 3 chefs, each with 3 woks going. Another crew member continuously washing bowls. Another couple of myths bite the dust. and a Rotisserie (beef and chicken today) the Grill complete with chicken pieces parts (chicken fingers). So they are NOT gone from all ships. Sargent_Schultz Posted February 5, 2013 Author #42 Share Posted February 5, 2013 Even the grill seems to have increased efficiency with an express burger line and such. oos - I guess back to the Rotisserie

Sargent_Schultz Posted February 5, 2013 Author #47 Share Posted February 5, 2013 Yay! Looking forward to another review from you!:D BTW: Do you ever unpack? Luggage holding up ok for you? ;) Almost never unpack much, except last time the airline broke one of the main zippers. The luggage strap (TSA lock) kept it mostly closed. So now I'm using an older, slightly heavier, metal framed Samsonite The kind you can sit on. Bring on the gorillas. Enjoy!
