, why would you want to pay more the what the drink package is worth

You wouldn't. You have to read my post in context. He was waiting to book to try and get the 123 package for Med. 2014. Booking now to get the cabin you want and waiting to book until the package is offered again will result in paying the same price but at least you have your preferred cabin and at that time can decide if there is an increase in price if it's with it.

Anyone know if there are plans for re-positioning cruises in the pacific coast in 2015?

If there are, they will be released at the end of April as part of the Asia release. There was a press release a while back which indicated that there would be transpacific repositioning cruises but it has been speculated that the delay in releasing Asia [it was to have been a couple of week earlier] may be due to rethinking because of the current situation in Kores.

Press release today in Australia ("Cruise Weekly")

Royal Caribbean to deploy Celebrity Century and Celebrity Solstice in Australia

Royal Caribbean md Gavin Smith has just announced that two Celebrity Cruises vessels will be deployed in Australia for the 2014-15 season.

Celebrity Century will join Celebrity Solstice in local waters, with Solstice also returning for its third consecutive season in 2014-15.

The move follows a highly successful inaugural season for Solstice this year, with the vessel departing Sydney today for Alaska. Smith said that Celebrity had carried 35,000 passengers during its first down under deployment, about 60% of whom were from overseas.........

The Century season will see the ship operate 11 Australian based voyages over a three month period before redeploying to Singapore in Jan 2015. New Celebrity destinations for the smaller ship will include Port Lincoln in South Australia, Burnie in Tasmania and Cairns in Queensland.

Solstice will also return for an extended 2014-15 season of 16 voyages.

I just got off Solstice this morning but I love Century and am so happy that she is coming back here (as I hoped she would!):)
