C&A points question please

Recently booked a JS GTY and only received one point for each night. C&A terms and conditions state two points per night for a suite and the definition of a suite includes a JS. Do I miss out on double points because I booked the suite as a GTY ? Your thoughts please would be appreciated.

I don't think you get the points until the completion of the cruise. You just said you booked it. Unless things have changed, the points should show up in your Crown & Anchor account after the cruise. I've personally never seen points credited prior to sailing.

Yes, I should have said "booked and sailed" as the cruise has finished and the points have already shown in my history but only as single points not double.

Then call the Crown & Anchor desk and have them fix it. It shouldn't be a problem. You could probably send an email as well.

A JS guarantee should get you 2 points per night. As mentioned above, call C&A and have them fix it.

It "does" get you 2 credits/points per night regardless if it is a JS GTY....We have done this cabin option and have had no problem getting the correct cruise credits/points...Call RCI don't waste your time emailing...takes too long...a phone call will remedy this immediately.

Thanks for the replies. I will take your advice and contact RCI. Not that the extra points will make much difference as I can not see us ever getting to Diamond Plus status. The points differential is substantial

The only time you would not get double points in a JS is if you accepted an upgrade offer from royal from a lesser cabin type

You should receive double points unless you sailed in the JS as a result of an RCL upgrade offer. In that case, you only get the points associated with the category you originally booked.

I also notice that on the c&a site it states points can be awarded based on amount paid, but that mostly goes back to Orville's post.
