All the ships no longer have a sushi bar. Been turned into taste bar. But the buffet suppose to have it.

Some ships still have the sushi bar. Splendor still has the sushi bar.

Dream had the "taste bar" last Nov. and would much rather have the sushi bar back... there was sushi on Lido deck but you best be quick.

It seems that the taste bar is on ships that have for pay restaurants. They are "showcasing" something available from the steakhouse each night... and some of it can be strange!

I understand all Fantasy class ships still have sushi...

The Taste Bar is on the following ships, which means that the sushi is up on the Lido deck.

Carnival Breeze , Carnival Conquest, Carnival Dream, Carnival Glory, Carnival Imagination, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Legend, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Magic, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Sensation, Carnival Sunshine and Carnival Triumph.

Even though the Inspiration has no steakhouse or other pay option dining venue, they still got rid of the sushi bar. It was a taste bar for a restaurant that was not on the ship (blue iguana cantina). There was a small station for sushi at the lido, but it was not available for long at all. I think I made it to the spot it was served once during a back 2 back when it was out and available to be served.

You forgot Freedom. She has the taste bar also.

Each day the taste bar showcases sample appitizers from different places on the ship. I don't care for sushi so I'm excited to try the taste bar. For your sunshine lover's it should be on the lido buffet.

I was on the Inspiration in January and March and the sushi is available for the duration of the dinner buffet every night. Actually it is available for an hour longer at the buffet than when it was at the sushi bar.

Rosefloater I must have gone too early. I always have late dining, so maybe that was the time it was available.

In the past when there was a sushi bar, I would stop by when it first opened around 5. I don't think it was being served at that hour on my last cruise.

The sushi bar (now the Taste Bar) opens at 5. Dinner buffet begins at 5:30.

On the Dream last year it was exclusively from the steakhouse and stated so. It also seemed to be the people wanting to be a chef in the steakhouse as they were very exact in what they did with someone overseeing them.

OK, so sushi is now on the lido buffet. Are they making it fresh to order like they did at the sushi bar? And what about sake?? I so enjoyed my evening sushi and sake on the promenade deck while hubby played in the casino before dinner! And the sushi was always good! Oh, well, no use crying over spilt milk.. I'm going on a cruise!!! :D

I was on the Sensation at the end of Feb and they had replaced the Sushi bar with a Taste Bar . I def. preferred the sushi bar! But I did get some good sushi rolls at lunch in the main dining room on the sea day on that cruise at least (we did the behind the fun tour so we saw them making it and we made a bee line there after the tour) :).

The sushi was never made fresh to order. It was rolled/prepared beforehand in one of the kitchens and then rolled out in a multi-tray cart to the sushi bar. It was only plated to order. There is no sake at the buffet. Sake might be at one of the bars.

You can still get the sushi upstairs and then go down to the promenade area to eat it.

We were on the Fascination last December and they still had the sushi bar, but we wound up eating more from the station that was set up in the Lido deck buffet. Same selection, but you could get several pieces without having to go back through the line!

I was disappointed to find out that there was no sushi bar on the Liberty for our cruise this December, but as long as they have it at the buffet I will manage nicely!:D
