We enjoyed Rob on Navigator. He is from Liverpool and has a unique sense of humor. He was always upbeat and having a great time everywhere we saw him. I think he will be great on Adventure!

It's great to discover Rob has got the CD role on Adventure.

 

He was Activities Director on our first cruise on Indy (August 2012 from Southampton), with Joff as CD.

I really liked Rob, so to have him as teh CD for our next cruise (20th July) will be good.

He was very personable, had plenty of time to stop and chat to people. You can't beat a bit of Liverpool charm...

It's hard to predict. They used to be on a very clear schedule of Ken on for 4 months and Allan on for 2 months. But now that Ken is responsible for taking out the new builds, he has been doing shorter contracts (and even interrupted contracts) and Allan is picking up the extra time. Sometime soon, Ken will be needed at corporate fulltime to work on bringing out Quantum, and will need to be replaced on Allure. The actual date of Ken's reassignment is not yet known.

 

It is not known if Allan will be assigned the regular 4 month CD duties while another regular CD will be named as the 2 month fill-in. Or, maybe the fill-in will not be a regular person and will change for each break (as it is done on Oasis. Or, I think that Allan is happy with the 2 month on/4 month off contract and might not want to change, so he will remain as the regular 2 month fill-in and another CD will be named to take over Ken's 4 month contract.

I was just on the Brilliance of the Seas and Steve Davis mentioned on the morning show that he will be leaving the Brilliance on April 30th and joining the Vision on June 9th.

I've had him twice as Activities Manager, and thought both times that he would make a great CD. Love his sense of humour.

Or maybe the longing to be in a place where he can make a longterm relationship work. If you follow him on twitter, while he doesn't appear to be in a relationship now, he has numerous posts lamenting not being able to find true love and the one to spend the rest of his life with, etc.
