perbinder Posted June 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2013 Hi We have traveled with RCI before and on the MSC Prezioza. What drinks are included? - tea/coffee/squash/water?? On RCI splendour of the seas tea and coffee and squash was always available. Am debating about the packages but not big drinkers. Many thanks

Albo8888 Posted June 11, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 11, 2013 On the Gem we had coffee, tea, orange juice, cranberry juice and water in the am. Afternoons and evenings we had coffee, tea, iced tea, lemonade, mango flavored water and water. All good might I add. If you don't see any just ask one of the servers up there. :)

capri_mom Posted August 13, 2013 #12 Share Posted August 13, 2013 I read in one review of the breakaway that they charge to have coffee with dessert in the MDR after dinner. Really hard to believe... Can a past breakaway cruiser confirm or deny? If it is true, that's just over the top with the nickel and dining people. Rare Kristal Blade Posted August 13, 2013 #13 Share Posted August 13, 2013 I like green tea, I don't expect they will have any available on the Gem when I sail on board later this year. If I take my own is there hot water available to make your own hot drink? I am considering taking some mugs with me so I can make a hot drink and take it back to my cabin. Us UK cruisers are accustomed to having a kettle in the room so we can make tea for ourselves. I think the mango flavour water will be the closest equivalent to what we call "Squash"! Thanks for all the helpful info so far.:)
Gershep Posted August 14, 2013 #14 Share Posted August 14, 2013 We got coffee in MDR and it was free. They also serve lemonade and ice tea. There is no free cafe for coffee or small desserts but you can grab that in the buffet.

Yes there is hot water in the coffee machines I believe or a special hot water spigot up in the buffet. No need to pack a mug, you can get them on board as well up near where you'd get the hot water. :) You might even ask room service for a carafe of hot water and then keep it and brew your own when you want a larger serving :)
Rare Kristal Blade Posted August 15, 2013 #17 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Thanks Sauer kraut,:) Will forget the mugs and pack more of my own tea bags. Like the idea of room service hot water carafe.

triptolemus Posted August 16, 2013 #19 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Does the Breakaway have a 24-hour Dining venue? It just says "select ships". Thanks for your help! 2 second search on NCL's website... Located on Deck 7, in the heart of the action at 678 Ocean Place, this is the place to hang out, 24/7. Serving up Irish/American classics in a relaxed, pub atmosphere, O’Sheehan’s is a guest favorite complete with billiards, darts, arcade games, TV’s and a giant two-story screen for sports and movies. The sport of people watching is popular, too.
