Earliest Boarding Time on the Royal Out of Venice?

We are on the 10 day countdown until we fly out to Venice for a couple days prior to boarding the Royal. We obviously will be excited to board this new ship ASAP after exploring Venice for the second time. Question: Was anyone able to board earlier than the 2:00 posted time? We have to be out of our hotel by 11:00Am and we would love to head over to the port, drop our luggage, quick exploration of the ship and then head back into Venice. I realize there is a posted embarkation time, but have read on Princess forums that the boarding process seems to be much earlier than stated? Thanks!

Thank you! 11:30-12:00 would be perfect....but not a guarantee... :) Am I also correct in my past reading of Princess threads, that rooms are available as soon as you board the ship. 2002 was the last time I sailed Princess (Golden).

Yes, Princess always has the cabins ready when boarding begins.

Thank you for everyone's knowledge. We are very excited for this cruise...... :)

I am hoping that the suite experience does not fall short of the outstanding "sweet" experience that we have experienced on RCCL but not so much on Celebrity. I will be sure to write a full review when we return.
