Royal Princess Embarkation Deck

Exactly where we walked off on Sunday October 27th. I can't imagine them using deck 6.

It is interesting, as I assumed all of the embarkation/disembarkation via gangway in Fort Lauderdale for Royal Princess would have been done at the stations just aft of Celebrations or International Cafe.

If I may ask, where was your waiting area that had you using the Fiesta Deck for the exit? Was the disembarkation gangway ramp forward or aft of Alfredo's? Thanks for helping me understand. :)

Disembarked last Sunday off of the TA.

Left on Deck 6, forward of Alfredo's.

Waiting area was in the Casino.

Also disembarked this past Sunday at that location. Waiting area was Club 6 next to the casino. There were 2 gangways and if I remember correctly the other was where we embarked from on Tuesday further aft and could have been deck 5.

Correct --

We embarked on Deck 5; think that it was for the "WOW Factor".

Problem was getting to the Fore/Aft Elevators.

Mid-Ship Elevators were packed.

Had to walk up the steps to Deck 7 to go to the Fore/Aft Elevators.

Then, as has been mentioned, Fore/Aft Elevators were not "synced".

Wanted to get into the Control Panels and install a "jumper" to sync them.

What was the problem getting to the forward elevators on deck 5?

What was the problem getting to the forward elevators on deck 5?

Our Cabin was located in the Aft Section on the Ship.

So, going to the Forward Elevators, on Deck 5, meant walking Forward;

and, then, walking Aft the entire length of Deck 14.

It was much easier to walk up to Deck 7; and, then walk Aft to the Aft Elevators.

I don't know about the Royal since I haven't been there yet, but it varies from port to port. If I recall correctly, we embarked on the Crown and Ruby on deck 6 at Port Everglades the last two times I've been there, but at San Pedro and Vancouver embarkation and disembarkation generally seems to be on deck 7.

We embarked & disembarked from Deck 6.

Kristen, is it possible the tide changed so they moved the gangway? We got off at 8:00. What time did you disembark? I'm pretty sure it was deck 5 forward when we got off on Grand Turk but not on the last day.
