I got the same letter. I have not cruised on Carnival since 2010.

It did say it came from thier players club.

I did book it. A 8 night cruise on the Splendor out of N.Y.

They gave me my choice of Balconys, spa, aft, premium, it did'nt matter, anyone I wanted.

I can't believe it cost only $249. per person. And I got the $100 OBC too!

I've never gotten a free cruise from Carnival before so it was a nobrainer not to book it.

wow you guys, lucky! yeah I wouldn't turn that down AT ALL.. have a great cruise for a great price! dang I'm jealous lmao costing us a grand for a balcony for 2pp, but we do have 200 obc lol

I am so glad to see some of you getting a break. I got an offer (that I had to look for in my VIFP location, no letter) for a good deal on a interior room. Obviously they don't do their research. We have sailed balconies or above since cruise #3.

I would love it if they would extend some of the love to loyal cruisers as well.

My dad and my son get these offers a couple of times a year. They cruise once every few years. I have never received one of these great offers. I figure Carnival figures they get me onboard 3 or 4 times a year without a great offer so why extend one to me.

It is awesome that many of you are able to get away for a great deal! Hope you have wonderful trips.

CCL caters to the 1st, 2nd time cruiser, and shows almost no loyalty to their loyal cruisers.

I cruised Carnival over Halloween on a Player's Club free cruise offer. Up to any balcony cabin. No extra cash or drinks on us card but still only paid taxes and port fees. It was great. Lost more than I should have and gave all their money that I won back but still a fun trip. Racked up considerable points.

Shortly after, had a VIFP offer on line for 50% off fun select rates and $250 cash. On Monday saw I had offer for Premier Cruise free Interior cabin. No cash at all.

So looks like my offers are getting worse. Don't really see a reason to try to book something with them right now based on this.

I would like to know how you join the Players Club. I figure you can on the ship but can you also join online somewhere before a cruise?[/

If you have ever played the slots on any of your past Carnival cruises with your sail and sign card inserted in the machine you are already a member of the Players Club. There is no "sign up" required.

I was offered a free cruise on Princess. So was everyone else who was a past guest.

If you book a cruise on the Ruby Princess before April...you can sail five days or four days.

The amount of your fare..minus taxes..will them be given to you in the form of a credit on any cruise you book with Princess.

Then you too can write threads about I Was Offered A Free Cruise......and I am Stunned!! How did this ever happen? I have not sailed on Carnival for six years? &&&& I hardly spent any money at all in the casino.

They just like me better than you. right? I get preferential treatment and you don't. So suck it up.

It gets old. If Carnival gave you a free cruise..you drop some bucks in the casino. You are a T.A. You are a cousin of the captain. Or a politician.

I agree. People who get these casino offers and then claim they barely spent a dime in there are not tellin' the whole story. DS loves to gamble and stays in the casino, yet she doesn't spend much and has thus never gotten a free cruise offer. There's a reason why you're getting them. More than just your good looks. ;)

I got the letter too and I jumped on my free cruise within 1 day of receiving it. Last cruise I had a budget of $500 to gamble with. $100 a day. I did not lose any more than what I budgeted. However, I was lucky and won a lot and played with my winnings. I took home $250 of my $500 and now a $2000 cruise. I would say that I came out a winner for sure. It was only my second cruise. I had 5000 points so I guess I won quite a bit. :D I don't know, I was just having fun.

Don't be jealous of our letters, AmberTeka.

My DD received the letter yesterday opened it and was excited BUT it was addressed to her cousins ex and had his VIPF number but was sent to her address! He has not cruised in several years and did not gamble but did have a large bar tab!! So it seems to be more of a we want you back letter than a casino player in his case. I told her to call our PVP and try to use it! Hey it was her address :) but I keep hoping every time the mail comes!

Congrats to all who got the letter, must be nice! Lol I lost around 7k on my last cruise and spent a lot of time in the casino and wasn't offered a free cruise. I was offered 55% off select Premier Cruises and casino cash. A lot of it seems to do with luck of the draw and the pit bosses not doing their jobs properly but we all slack off sometimes. :D

I took my offer and I'm happy with it because I feel they owe me absolutely nothing. I'd never get through life if I was always worried about and jealous of what others receive or have that I don't.

Looking forward to my spring cruise on the Conquest! :)

My husband received the letter in the mail on Monday (not myself or my two kids). It's our 25th anniversary in July and we were planning on going to Cancun. After checking the offer, we agreed to go on the May 30th sailing of the Carnival Sunshine. 8 night cruise for $389.24 for both of us in a balcony cabin, taxes included - too good to be true! But it is! I was laughing checking the prices. :)

Our last cruise on Carnival was in 2009. We have sailed Princess and Royal Caribbean since that time. The letter came from Carnival and not the Player's Club. When I went online, it looked like it would let me book three cabins but, when I called, they would only let me book one - bummer. For that price, we were going to take the kids. Guess it will just be the two of us. :)

Do you spend a lot of time/money in the casinos?

My nephew sailed with me last year and spent alot of time in the Casino. Even qualified for the free drinks card. Was very friendly with the Casino Hosts, got free wine, tshirt, hat. He has never received anything from the Players Club. He's even sailing with me again in January. I emailed the Players Club for Comps and I'm getting $50 and he's getting $25

I admit, I gamble but he's definately in the casino a lot more then me. I'm old, I go to bed at a reasonable time. Usually he's leaving the casino as I'm waking up ;)

A friend I sailed with got a free cruise earlier this year from the Players Club. She spends alot of time on the slots while I'm a table game player. I would bet I spent just as much as her if not more. They seem to favor the slot players.

There is no rhyme or reason who they choose. I wish I knew. I'd love a free cruise.

Jealous?

This morning..E-mails...two from Princess..Book your 100% refunded cruises before Dec. 31.

and if you are a past guest of Princess..you might want to check them out.

I also have a casino offer from Princess.

I am married to a Roulette Player. I know that most of those "free" cruises..cost a heck of a lot.

And anyone who says they always win..that they don't lose more than they win..

Should write a book. They would be the first in history to be able to claim that.

AND my DH never goes into a land casino. Never. He knows the level of his addiction and goes cold turkey except on cruises. & Lotto tickets. Which don't have the same thrill.

But he takes his own money. We have separate credit cards on the ship. If he is winning..he is estatic. If he is losing.it is the end of the world. Those free cruises come with an emotional toil too. He has learned to set limits. when the day's "stash" is gone....he finds me at my penny slot and we go somewhere. See a show. Go get cookies. Go to bed. Play Trivia.

I know I sound harsh and I don't mean too. I hope everyone has a wonderful time on all of those cruises. Carnival should treat you right. You drop a lot of money there. Taking care of good customers is good business. but....those cruises are not "free". If you went cold turkey..never set foot in the casino..the offers would quit coming.

And my DH walked on the ship with $600. He walked off with $2400. He played every night. He played every Sea Day. He played as soon as dinner was finished.

he was in there a lot. This cruise he did well. Next cruise in March..on the Dream..he might not do so well. He might walk out with a good bit charged on his S & S card to pay off.

He has had 2 casino offers from Carnival. the last one...two years ago. I will admit they brought us back. We had been gone to Princess for a few years. Now back with Carnival..for at least one more cruise. But after that..We are booked with Princess.

When I was younger, I liked Carnival more. Now with the mess of getting on and off with FTTf, I like Princess more. I do like the changes the New management is making at carnival. Totally agree with the Dr. Seuss thing. We are taking our DD and her family in March.

And put the table cloths back. Period. Hope you all win.
