When this happend I put up a post about how foolish the boss looked and got beat up by many on this site I wonder if they still feel this way.

If he had the personal ability to visit the ship and make a difference, then I'd feel otherwise.

If he went out to the ship, he would have been criticized for wasting resources it takes to get there, taking up limited resources on the ship, grandstanding for the PR benefit, and who knows what else?
