What time to board Jewel in New Orleans

We try to start a cruise as early as possible. We arrive at the port usually 10:30 if we can. Might have a small line waiting to begin processing. But once it begins, you are through super fast, sit in the waiting area until boarding begins, usually 11:30ish. Then on the ship. The main dining room is usually open for lunch at noon. It is never crowded if you prefer that.

Two weeks ago we arrived at 10:30, checked in at 10:45 and boarded about 11:15. We ate at Cagney's, but one of the MDR's is open for a few hours. That's the place to go.

if you are in a suite, then dine at Cagneys.

If not, and you want a quiet lunch, do the open dining room. This is usually the MDR.

I think we arrived around noon last week without much of a wait. The main dining room is the place to go for quiet if you are not in a suite. If you don't like the typical European paced meal, you can go to the Garden Cafe and find a lace to sit in the Great Outdoors or keep walking to the right and eat in Mama's Kitchen (the Italian restaurant).
