We will have some good memories. We have driven thru snow, rain and sleet. I think I could get a job as a mail carrier. Thank you.

I think you made the right decision. None of the airlines are flying....and they need to get their stranded travelers out first before rebooking anyone else.........I hope you have a great cruise!

BTW - even here in the Midwest there are a lot of flight cancellations because of all the shut downs on the East Coast and the South. This has been the winter from H-E-DoubleHockeySticks!!!!!!!! for travel.

I feel for you. My DD & SIL lived in Kittery. Now they are enjoying the sunshine of San Diego thanks to the U.S. Navy. I don't know how yall can live up there in the cold lol.

Be safe and take your time. A cruise is sooooo enjoyable but when you have to work extra hard, it makes you appreciate it even more. I'm on a 21 day stretch of 12 hour shifts here at work just so I can get my 20 days off to enjoy my up & coming cruise and time in Fl pre & post cruise.

Have a couple of the DOD's. I don't think 1 is enough. :D

We have four cabins booked on the Breeze for this Saturday the 15th and got the dreaded automated message that our flight had been cancelled. We live in the New Alaska AKA Massachusetts. It is impossible to get a flight out and arrive before the boat leaves. At 11 AM today we decided to drive. If you have watched the news you know we are driving in some pretty bad weather. Will we make it??? We packed up the car at 4pm and the adventure began.

4 cabins. Is everyone included in the drive?

I don't think we would have found a flight in time. It's a very long drive but worth it. Thanks

Living in the Northeast is challenging. I am not a fan of the snow but that's where my family is. The summers are great but very short.

Have a great time on your cruise!

Good Luck Dream Girl! We drove from Long Island in the Blizzard in the beginning of January. It was so bad. Took us 5 and 1/2 hours to get through NJ. Scary! We actually said, "What were we thinking". But I was determined to get on that Ship and we did!

Enjoy your cruise!

It has been very scary at times, but it is getting better now that the sun is up. We are now in North Carolina. We had one car spin out right next to us around 2AM. I am also determined not to miss the ship. I have been looking forward to it for a long time.

Thank you.

You did the right thing. We sailed the Breeze last month and our kids almost missed the boat due to flight delays out of Chicago. They did not board until after 4:30 pm and the boat was supposed to leave at 4pm. They got lucky because there was a Carnival group that flew into Miami late and they delayed the sailing for them.

Have a safe trip....you will Love the Breeze!!

Good luck, glad you made it all the way to North Carolina now. It's an easy drive to Florida here. Carnival Breeze, what a great cruise you have waiting for you in Florida! Enjoy!

Just a heads up if it's not too expensive, you could take the Amtrak Autotrain from Sanford (outside Orlando just off I-95) to Lorton, Virginia on the way home (check prices though). I 'm just thinking of an alternate route for you after the cruise if you don't want to drive all the way back to Rhode Island.

Have a great time!!

We had something similar happen to us a couple years ago. Luckily we were able to re-book from an airport about 5 hours away. I'm sure we would have drove all the way if push came to shove.

Your vacation will taste a bit sweeter when you arrive. Enjoy the ride and have a fantastic cruise.
