Fascinated by the Fascination?

We loved the Fascination! It's definitely not a new ship but was well kept for it's age. Just don't go with the expectation of it being a new ship and you'll love it. Good size, nice layout and a beautiful atrium area. Never felt crowded and there are some really great areas to lounge on sea days where you can see all that is going on in the lido deck area but you don't have to be "right" there.

We loved the band that played near the casino - check them out.

Have fun!

Thank you! We leave in 4 days! We started counting down at 168 when we booked it. It is so close yet so far away! 2 more work days!

You will love the Fascination. You shouldn't have any issues with motion unless the seas get really rough. I prefer aft cabins because it is a short ride up the elevator and you are right at the buffet. That is really convenient for morning coffee or snacks. :-)

Have a great cruise!

Another question: I know I am in central time zone. Jacksonville is an hour ahead. What time is it in the bahamas? Same time?

So its 3:14 where I am

It is 4:14 in Jacksonville

What time is it in Nassau? I don't want to miss my excursions while I am there! Thanks!

1 more day! :)

You will stay on "ship" time the entire trip although in Nassau they are in the same time zone as Jacksonville.

Love the Fascination! been on her twice and have another one booked for next year!. A bit older ship but in great shape and probably one of the friendliest crews I have sailed with!.

The only thing I am not thrilled with is the embarkation terminal and the way you get on the ship (bottom level). But that is small stuff!:)

We just got off the Fascination today and I will be writing a very lengthly review tomorrow.

We also been on the Fascination twice in the past two years and she has definitely totally declined in the food area to a point that some of the food was inedible. We could not believe the difference from our last cruise last May. All we noticed was plates of food being left behind and uneaten, such a waste, they think they are saving money when they are doing just the opposite.

We had a wonderful cruise but if you think your going to eat decent that won't happen I rate the food fair to good in the MDR and fair in the buffet area with some items inedible that should not been served. The Fascination recycles its food over and over I will explain in my review tomorrow. I am not unhappy with our cruise it was a little getaway last minute for us as we booked less than two weeks ago, we had a good time, but what they served for food really showed us that Carnival Fascination has cut back even more. I have to say honestly Applebees, TGIF, Ruby Tuesday and Chili's food is SO MUCH BETTER than what we had on the Fascination. Ugh.

Have to agree with you! We cruise on Fascination sometimes for the convenience of the port ... certainly not the food.

Hey! I'm on the same cruise with you! This will be my 11th time on the Fascination and have another one booked on her in October. It's so close and a great ship for a quickie!

Thankfully, I don't cruise for the food and have never had a problem finding something good to eat!

I suggest that once you board you should go straight to the Mongolian Wok! They cook the food to order and it's great!

Be warned that this cruise is sold out so there will be long lines where ever you decided to eat!

Were you Fascinated by the Fascination? Anything we need to know. Our luggage tags say AFT but it is like the 1st room starting the AFT. Will we feel motion? THANKS! :)

I really can't help you since I haven't cruised on the Fascination yet but I have to tell you that I was "fascinated" with your title. Its a good catchy title that certainly caught my attention.

We go on the fascination when she has her 7 day cruise once a year as we live in jacksonville and live less than 2miles from the ship so convenient to just drive over the Damespoint bridge and be there in 5minutes. There's been a lot of talk lately about dredging the river and putting a port on the other side of the bridge so we can have more cruise ships come in that are larger. She is a very beautiful ship and you'd never guess her age when your on it. My favorite ship so far is dream and glory so far
