Vision size ship movement

We have only cruised twice, both times on Freedom. We are sailing Vision in December(Western Caribbean), wondering how the size of the ship will affect movement. We had no issues on Freedom, but Vision is much smaller. We are not in the cabin much, but have new cabin 8000 family oceanview with 3 kids at the front of the ship. Obviously the weather/seas will be a huge part, but in general is there a noticeable difference?

We were on vision through the English channel and around the British isles. Pretty rough seas, but never really bad movement.

Worst ride we had was on Enchantment (Vision class) in a front inside room on deck 2 in 4 metre swells. They had the seasick bags out for that one. However in my own experience the Caribbean doesn't usually get as bad as that.

Picture a small piece of paper floating in a swimming pool, bobbing in the waves... Now place a piece of paper 4 times larger in that pool. Does it stay absolutely still or does it bob and move the same as the smaller paper?

Same idea with these two sizes if ships in the massive ocean :) The stabilizers on the larger may be more effective in many cases, but I've been on a couple of Voyager/Freedom cruises with the barf bags out on each floor, once specifically in the Gulf where you'll be sailing through :p... and a couple of Vision Class cruises where you couldn't even tell we were moving it was so smooth.

That Vision itinerary your booked on is awesome! You're going to have a very excellent cruise on this ship :D

Was in some rough seas (caused by wind) sailing from Colon , Panama

to Cartegena then we hit a trailing sea coming back from the Aruba

the ship handled the seas fine...

Every once in a while you would feel a bump but the stabilizers kicked in.

The only problem was walking on deck (while we were at sea) people really couldn't keep their hats,

visors, etc. on while walking or moving about. But, with the high temps the wind was so enjoyable!

I was also on ship before revitalization... in Alaska

Changes to ship...

New restaurants added Azumi is now up next to Concierge Lounge.

A new Diamond lounge has been added but seems small.

The running/walking deck is around the entire ship...

The small putt putt golf is gone to accommodate the expanded track...

The dining rooms have all new lighting ...fabrics very bright and airy

We were in a Jr Suite seemed small compared to other ships

we have been on had flat screen tv

Also all new electronic boards at all elevator banks letting you know where you are.

The ship is in beautiful condition...
