emmy Posted April 29, 2014 #652 Share Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) Loving this review. We are not sailing on the allure until february 2016 but I like to plan ahead and pick premium cabins while they are still available. Maybe some of you or Bugsy can help with our cabin location. We are interested in either the Central Park or boardwalk view with balcony. At first I was thinking Central Park would be quieter but then seeing one of Bugsy's photos of the boardwalk area cabins I thought those would be great as you could see the ocean from some of them. Does anyone know how late the carousel goes and also how late the aqua theatre has shows. We are not stay up late people so like a room that is relatively quiet after 10pm or so. Can't wait for more pictures. They have been great. Hi Mary ~ I am a Boardwalk balcony fan. Having sailed on Oasis class 9 times (7 Oasis sailings and twice on Allure) this type of balcony is my 'go to' cabin for a few reasons. When I sail on one of the Big Sisters unique ships in themselves I like to choose a cabin that you can only experience on this type of ship. I am lucky enough to cruise often enough and save the ocean view balconies for other ships.:) That is my personal thinking on the matter :) I think the Boardwalk offers the best of both worlds. A view of the ocean and the activity of the Boardwalk. I have never been bothered by the noise and when there is noise it is minimal. My favorite deck is deck 11 and the best cabin in my eyes is 11329 or 11729 the very last aft boardwalk balcony. My first choice would be 11329 port side as it is the same side you can wave to the webcam from that large public balcony like Bugsy ( Chris and friends) did on Sunday. You are steps away from the large public balcony that is rarely used during the day. Deck 12 offers this as well. Curiously I have never been able to secure that cabin 11329 but have stayed in 11327, 11325 and twice on deck 10 in similar cabins. This is the sunset view as we sailed away on Oasis from 11325 Edited April 29, 2014 by emmy
Luvscruising44 Posted April 29, 2014 #653 Share Posted April 29, 2014 Chris, I am loving your review. I wish you could send me some of that creme brulee'. That's the way I like it, uh huh, uh, huh. All the food looked scrumptious. Always enjoy the food porn. Hope you are taking time out from the review to really enjoy your vacation. That's got to be aggravating that the wifi is so slow. Hope it gets bettter for you. Until next time, ta ta. Luvs

BugsyCruiser Posted April 29, 2014 Author #657 Share Posted April 29, 2014 Yummy, so glad they remain to have the old menu I only hope it stays there for my cruise in two weeks. Question, I cannot have gluten and dairy do you feel that they make me a dessert that is non dairy and no gluten? I believe they can do that for you. Erika's mom needs her dishes to be gluten free and they have done a wonderful job ensuring that happens for her

WVUGammy Posted April 29, 2014 #662 Share Posted April 29, 2014 Yes goodnight Chris. Awesome review and WOW on your number of views. Great pics. Sure enjoying the ride. Regarding the yacht in Nassau, when we were there a few weeks ago there was one with a swimming pool and an actual helicopter with a custom cover on the helipad on the back deck. Will and I asked if there was an excursion for it, but "not quite" was all we got. :( Looking forward to tomorrow and all you Will have to share.
