LIVE from Allure of the Seas, sailing April 27th!

Recommended Posts

Chris: Sure hope the internet situation gets better and you don't have similar problems as the last time. Food porn was great! Anxiously awaiting more of your LIVE review! Do enjoy yourself though and don't stress over the internet situation.

Gambee: Thanks for the awesome pictures of Chris and the rest of the Pink Boas and Fedoras.

Emmy: The guys on the webcam did a great job zooming in with such clarity. Sometimes I have watched previously and not that clear. Great webcam time on the Pink Boas and Fedoras!!!! I know you must have been very proud of them. Can only imagine the group on our Quantum sailing.

Chris, awesome sail away! Love all your photos and Gambee's too!

You noticed that too, eh? ;) I think I isolated Chris as the one to the left of the sign (looking from Chris' position), or to the right of the sign looking at it from the camera position. Everyone looked "in the pink" from my viewpoint! We already have at least 2 of us on the Regal cruise looking for pink boas and fedoras. So far, no luck. BUT it's early yet!!

Looking at the sign from camera position, he is on the left!

Most if us order our boas from this website: http://cynthiasfeathers.com/product_info.php/cPath/21/products_id/28?osCsid=04cf0f2b9d7165ec43331fafd228d2d1

They come in a flat envelope and fluff right up when you take them out. Be sure to order the 180 gram light pink! Comes in 5 to 7 days. I have not been able to find them in the stores. The ones in the stores fall a part too quickly and tend to be scratchy.

If possible can you tell me the cost of non alcoholic frozen drinks? Namely virgin strawberry daqueries. I haven't been able to find that out and didn't see it on the menus you posted. Thanks!

Thanks Wendy ! Larry beat me to ask the question. Chris had asked if we would like to participate. We haven't pushed it much because we haven't been able to find the pink boas and fedoras.

Good morning friends and welcome to day two of LIVE from Allure of the Seas! We are docked in Nassau and I plan on going ashore with friends a little later for a bit of exploring and possibly lunch at the Fish Fry. Off shortly to have some breakfast and more importantly, COFFEE!!! :D

Looks like the biggest issue with the wifi here is uploading photos... of course exactly what I need to do for this review :P

See you all later today!

Chris, really enjoying this review. Great pictures too...... Only bad thing is, I will be going on a weekend trip (leaving Thursday). So will miss keeping up with your review. With all the posts, it will take me a week to catch up when I get home on Sunday. Oh well, I won't be cruising until August, so I have plenty of time.

I saw you waving from the webcam as you were sailing out yesterday. Good close-ups from the webcam.

Gambee had some great pictures of you too.

Have a fun cruise and hopefully great weather too.

Gwen :)

Can you tell me if there were many people on the secret balcony when you watched the aqua show? This is where our family plans to watch it on the Oasis as we have the last boardwalk balcony on deck 12. I'm assuming we would be able to see it from our balcony but may go to the secret to stretch our legs so to speak.

Great job on everything you are doing.

There was about 10-15 of us on the public balcony last night but it didn't feel crowded at all so you should be fine

Well I've never been to Nassau so wasn't sure. I thought I saw Atlantis as we turned around to back in but not sure where it is at now

Atlantis should be in the other direction from Baha Mar, and look like this from the ship:

Really enjoying you review!:)

I am loving this review. I am in withdrawl and have to wait until the end of Sept. to sail on the Allure. This is really helping be pass the time. Did you book the Prohibition party? We did that last time on the Allure. It was a great time. Thank You

Good Morning Chris,

Hello all....honestly I hate Nassau, wished they put another port in its place....the only thing I like there is the Fish Fry, its wonderful last month we went to Twin Brothers and had our best meal of the cruise. (it was a Carnival cruise) Unfortunately we won't be able to go there again because the Allure leaves Nassau at 2pm no time to have lunch there but then again, leaving Nassau at 2pm is like having another sea day which we love!

The fedoras are easy too. You can get them at Party City for about $7.00 each and they travel well. You can crush them and they pop right back. We stuff our boas in a gallon ziplock baggie and push all the air out. They become very flat and travel very well in their little bags!
