I just missed you! I was cruise staff on the Majesty, Boston to Bermuda run in 1999!! I see you started sailing there in 2000. :)

I loved Bermuda. :) Really want to go back as pax.

And I am still friends this day with some of the bar and casino staff even though they are now half way around the world. There's a strong core of us that really miss that old girl!!!! It's not the same, not going through the cut!!!! But I hope you make it back some day.

I started sailing on the Majesty in the early 2000's also, She was a nice little ship, which was perfect for docking in St. George.

We prefer the first week of June or first week of October. Water is warm enough in June and even warmer in October and no crowds.

Us too Peg. We found September too hot and humid for our taste.

Thanks Peg and Cube, so it's still beach and "summer" type weather in mid to late October? What are the usual temps at this time of year?

We went second week in October (and are doing the same this year). Temps were mid to upper 70’s, not humid, and water temps in the high 70’s. Perfect for me!

When we were there the first week in Oct both the air and water temperatures were 80°F. It was beautiful. We had similar water temps in June but air temp was more like 85°F or so. We'll be back in Bermuda Oct 1-3, 2014. Can't wait! :)

We have sailed since 2002 with our children and now we are sailing alone. My children were always in the kids clubs; we never even knew they were with us!!! That being said; we have sailed in all months including november. We loved the November cruise, Bermuda in the high 70s. no one around, the air was cool, but we enjoyed traveling through Bermuda, very quite.

Anyway, we have sailed only out of Boston so we have experienced the small ships. I remember when the Dawn first came to Boston, we thought she was a big ship (it is funny, she is consider a small ship now) times have changed.

Bermuda is a fun place to go!

My husband and I are considering a cruise to Bermuda in 2016. We have many questions, one being what is the best month for cruising in Bermuda? What did you like? Not like? Etc...

We are taking our first cruise to Bermuda in September. After research and advice, we chose this month because of less kids on the boat. It will be less crowded on the island (so we are told) but events on the island will still happening. Friends of ours always go in September and rave about the ocean conditions. Although it's hurricane season, they never had issues. Just get trip insurance and hopefully you wont need it. ;). Happy Sailing!

We just got back today from our bermuda cruise on the breakaway. It was very hot during the day this week in Bermuda. I got a little burnt, but after the winter we just had who can complain. The water is cold but, if you ever swim in the Great Lakes in June, I think the water temperature compares. It's cold at first but nice once you get in. I didn't encounter a lot of kids and they were all well behaved. I had a great week!

Thanks for the post. Glad you had a good cruise. Anything after the winter we had will probably feel hot!

Did you happen to notice any warnings posted at the beaches in regards to dirty or unsafe water?

Thank you in advance for any info.

I only went to horseshoe bay, but I didn't see any warnings besides the jellyfish warning.

We love everything about going to Bermuda. Going again in Sept for the 4th time. We never take excursions. We always buy a 3 day unlimited bus/ferry pass for about $30. and tour on our own. The people are always so friendly and helpful with directions.
