Hi,

First, congrats on graduating--a great accomplishment. You have a beautiful family.

You were correct that I hadn't finished reading your entire review. I went back into it and found out so many things I had missed. It should be made into a movie; I laughed at times although I am sure with all the things that happened it wasn't at all funny to you.

Your pictures are gorgeous. I especially loved the chandelier. I wish you the best on your next cruise--may it be relatively uneventful, except for the wonderful things of course. Now I will continue to read the rest of the thread.

Thanks for the congrats. It was a really big accomplishment for me, especially after being out of school for so many years. I didn't know I had it in me.

TODAY I RECEIVED MY ATT!!!! I'm totally and completely freaking out right now. I'm doing a 3 day NCLEX review and I have stared at the testing dates for several hours today and my anxiety is through the roof. I just can't pick a date or facility. UGH! It's either 1 1/2 weeks from now or 4 weeks from now. I just don't know what to do. I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. :(

Congratulations!!

If you can pull off all these wonderful family vacations, you can do anything!!

(Yes, I've been lurking :o)

Take the early date and GO FOR IT!!! :D

You'll only stress for four weeks waiting and what good will that do!!

Best of luck!!! We're all routing for you!

Great review! I also felt like I was on the cruise with you.

Congratulations on your graduation, it's an accomplishment to be proud of. Best of luck on the NCLEX, I have faith you will do great and be an exceptional nurse. I've been a nurse going on 25 years and understand all of the anxiety that goes with it. You will be working constantly to pay for you next cruise adventure!!

P.S. Sakari is a doll

I look forward to your next review.

I would rather try to pull off a family vacation (with even more extended family) instead of taking a test. :p

The early date is already gone. :( I just couldn't bring myself to push the button last night and commit. The second date I wanted (which would have been my grandson's 6th birthday, is also gone. Sigh.

Great review! I also felt like I was on the cruise with you.

I've got cruise fever hardcore...my boyfriend and I are sailing on the Getaway on November 15th. My first cruise in 10 years, and my boyfriend's first one EVER! I've sailed on Celebrity twice, and Commodore's now defunct Enchanted of the Seas. It's been so long since I've gone, and as excited as I am for ME, I think I'm more excited for HIM. I've long been telling him how cruises are the BEST vacations, and he has no idea what he's been missing.

I have poured myself into EVERYTHING about the upcoming cruise...spreadsheets, and shopping lists, reviews and youtube videos....I can't plan or prepare enough. My boyfriend says I'm "obsessing," but I'm having SO much fun doing it, I can't stop.

In all my relentless research, I've read TONS of reviews...and gained a ton of useful tips, and insightful opinions of what to do, what not to do...where to go, and what not to miss.

CC has been especially helpful, and I'm so glad I found it. :D

I have been reading your thread for 3 days, for hours a day when I get home from work... I'm bummed that I'm done. :( but it's definitely been my favorite!! :)

Thank you for sharing your experience in so much detail...I know it must have been a LABOR OF LOVE! But I (and all the other followers of this thread) are so grateful that you took the time to share your story (and all those AMAZING pictures!!)

Just a couple of thoughts/questions....

1. I think you're an AWESOME ***** MOM!

2. I completely ENVY your patience (and your ring ;) )

3. I know the other half is "hubby" in this thread.... :p but I've seen it in a lot of other threads, and I've always been too ashamed to speak up....but do you know what the hell DD and DH stand for?

I'm on my way to work so I'll have to respond later to your post but just wanted to let you know DH and DD is darling husband and darling daughter. I don't ever use the term because it just sounds weird to be (plus I have to think about it lol). As you can tell in this review, my daughter wasn't such a darling this time around. Lol

Exactly the reason I don't use them. Who has time to look those up? LOL :p :o

I hope you have an awesome cruise. I know what it's like to cruise and then stop for years and start back up. I did the same exact thing. I cruised back in the 80's and 90's and didn't start cruising again until 2010 and it was my hubby's first cruise and we were hooked. We now try to cruise at least twice a year. :D

Kim, did you ever read the post where some guy asked what DR stood for? Said his wife said it was dick head but he wasn't sure.............. You should have read all the responses! Laughed so hard tears were rolling down my face.

Let's see.... that would be. LSHTRDMF!

Oh gosh Wendy, I must have missed that thread. That's too bad, I was probably studying for some off the wall test and could have used some laughter tears instead of school tears. LOL :p

See, that's why I don't use the acronyms....it's too hard to figure out (well other than LOL and bf I use). I actually scrolled up to the list to look for DR. It wasn't there, so I just looked it up and it said: What does DR mean? DR is an acronym, abbreviation or slang word that means "Double Rainbow". Um ok...who would know this and WHY would anyone use it. :o LMBOSHICD? (Laugh my butt off so hard I could die). :D

Have fun reading:

Oh my gosh hilarious. They even left it on the NCL boards instead of taking it to floataway as they thought. Maybe I should start referring to my hubby as DH...you know, on "those" certain days....I'll let everyone else determine my interpretation on that one during my reviews. LOL

Thanks for commenting. You must be a speed reader to be able to read all my mumbo-jumbo in 1 day. :D I know I get pretty winded. :p

I have only done Carnival once (last year on the Dream) and loved it. I hope to get back to Carnival again one day. I did a review on the Dream too...you know, in case you get bored at work one day. LOL :D

Have been reading your trip report for the last three days and I am only up to page 14 but I wanted to comment before the thread died out. Pulitzer prize for your report, just remarkable. You have a wonderful family and have just a great spirit. It took me awhile but I eventually learned not to sweat the small stuff, and some of the big stuff that happens as well. I just retired a year ago and am trying to enjoy life to the fullest, which now includes cruising on NCL. You sure know how to do it right. The wife and I are going on the Sun for two weeks in February so I will be looking forward to your trip report. Again thanks so much for all the work you put into your report. May you have many more happy sailings!:)

Yes I am a speed reader because I skip everyone's comments and just read your portions, have a lot of down time at work (well I'm supposed to be doing stuff but you know how that is lol) . I will head on over to your Carnival dream review!

Aww, thanks so much for your comments. They are very kind. I learned many years ago to not sweat the small stuff...as long as I get to the end result, I'll be fine. I use to be one of those people that was always in a mad dash to get where I'm going (never late though) and stressing about everything, but I think after I had my 4th child at such an "older" age, things changed. I always figure there's no need for that because it's not going to change the events as they are happening. I'm just loving life as much as I can. I'm still a work in progress though...trust me. :D
