...who cancelled one of the bowling alley balconies on Pride!!! :) We're now booked for July 13!!! My DH, DS (6) and I are excited to take our second cruise! We loved Glory last year!!! We'll be celebrating our anniversary while onboard! :)

 

A bit worried since Glory at the 2.0 upgrades, but reviews have been great for the ship other than wear and tear. When I saw that bowling alley balcony, I HAD to book, especially since we had a casino offer, too!!! :)

 

I am still shocked this super duper balcony was even available! :)

Sometimes prime cabins are available due to last minute cancellations. Or maybe the original guests upgraded due to an offer or a price drop.

 

This happened to us once before too. Love the bowling balconies. Enjoy!

Wasn't us but we scored a premium vista balcony on the Sunshine when someone cancelled. :-) yay!!

This term is new to me... what's a bowling balcony?

 

 

Sorry, left out a word. Bowling alley balconies are usually 3x the length of a regular balcony. These cabins are usually beside a crew room or areas that does not require a balcony. Therefore the guest cabin gets a balcony that is longer than the width of their cabin.

 

I guess it was nicknamed bowling alley because someone thought it was long and narrow like a bowling alley...lol.

We have had this balcony twice. Last minute on the Spirit and loved it so much, we booked it early on the Legend as soon as the cruise came out.

Just had to join in on this: We live in South Mississauga (Lorne Park) and I taught at a school in the Sheridan Homelands area for many years before I retired!

LOL.....we all live within 5 minutes of each other. Too bad this wasn't a roll call and we were all going on the same cruise.

I've had these cabins several times and really like the cabin arrangement, no sofa, they have a lot of floor space. And those balconies! 2 loungers, 3 chairs and a table...and it could have held many more!

 

6234 on Legend has the strangest shower hookup I've ever seen. The steward had to come in and figure out how to turn on the water. The housekeeping shift supervisor stopped by to ask if I was pleased with the cabin and told her yes, but something has to be done about the shower. She couldn't turn it on. She called her supervisor who also couldn't turn it on!

 

6232 is next to where the ice is kept (so are cabins on other decks in same place) and it got noisy.

Congrats! We've lucked out like that twice both on aft wraps, one on Carnival and one on Royal.

We have 6232 booked for next summer :) Hope it's not too noisy.

Wow! Small world for sure! I teach at Allan A Martin!! :)

 

Hoping for not too much noise from the service room, but we're usually out and about exploring anyway! :)

 

Good to know about the above people looking in on us! :)

 

Also, I'm pretty sure 6232 has a sofa?? Maybe the accessible cabin with a similar balcony doesn't?

 

My excitement about this balcony is growing with all this great feedback!!! :)
