Oh my goodness!! I'm loving this subject! So excited to hear about the Martini tasting!

Really enjoyed the martini tasting... I can't drink 4 martinis mini or not, but the bartender didn't mind my sharing the tasting with my friend

Classic Menu: Carnival Cosmo

On ships with an alchemy bar, start at the top of the menu and work your way down, :D. Feel free to browse any of my reviews linked in my signature for martini inspiration. LOL

long island ice tea, with a $2.00 to $5.00 tip when you order..... Kick ass drink. go back to the same bar tender.

I thought tips were automatically taken out on your bar tab bill?

I love a good Cosmo.

But every time I have ordered the Carnival Cosmo, I have been blown away by how crazy strong they make it! Whew! Definitely get my money's worth!

a little extra goes a long way if you go back to the same :D bar and mixer all week. They will remember and you'll get the top self stuff and not watered down. Money talks

The Tiramisu Martini was my favorite...nothing but alcohol and it was delicious! That was my drink of choice for my cruise.

I discovered these on our last cruise now I have these with dinner and long island teas in the evening ( have to make full use of the cheers program )

Stay away from the Long Islands on the last night. Take my word on this.

I did a double Jack and Coke and realized they charged twice the price so it was like $16. I switched to Long Islands and it was not a fun trip home.

FWIW, they usually put too much sour mix and not enough of a splash of coke so it can be very sour.

I tried probably 10 martinis on board, and they were all STRONG. Some were made even too strong to drink, they were pretty gross. But I think one called the Pom-tini was my favorite. The Pomagranite juice covered up the vodka nicely, and it was sweet without being sickening like some of the DOD's. The cosmo one was great also, but that one tasted much stronger than the pom, and the pom had the same amount of vodka.

Another vote for the Long Island Ice Tea....

Strong drink...PLUS it is a classic cocktail so if you ask for your receipt you get a 5.00 match play coupon at the casino cage..

.so if you play any table games in the casino, take the receipt for the drink to the cage and get the coupon and put your money PLUS the 5.00 match play down and its like free money to use in the casino... so the 9.00 drink is actually on 4 bucks...

Thats how my math works anyway..:D

Check your math - the match play is only worth $5 if you win the bet, so the actual value is closer to around $2.40 (you will win an even money bet slightly less than 50% of the time), but still better than nothing.

Are those a mixed aperitif? If so, I seem to remember having one in their Carnival shot glasses. I came home with 10 of those glasses.

Not sure. I read about them on another board.

This is the recipe:

The B-52 (also B52 or Bifi) cocktail is a layered shot composed of a coffee liqueur , an Irish cream (Baileys Irish Cream), and a triple sec (Grand Marnier).

Long Islands and Tokyo Teas. A Tokyo Tea is something I've only ever gotten on Carnival. They introduced me to it and everyone else everywhere I go seems confused be it.

It has a lot of alcohols like the Long Island The big difference is I think Midori. Turns the whole drink green. Anytime I get it on the ship, people are always asking what it is. Pretty tasty and very strong. Slightly stronger than a Long Island.

Tokyo Tea! I'm from NY & they were popular in the West Village a few years ago, it's a Long Island with sprite instead of coke & Midori floated on top

Does this mean anytime at any location during the cruise or just drinks ordered from the bar in the casino? T

Any bar. Any location. Just make sure that you exchange your "classic cocktail" receipt for your match play ticket at the casino cage on the same day you bought the drink. Once you have your ticket, you can use it any day.
