Baggage storage in Venice

The train station is out of the way.

You may be able to check your bags at the cruise port, they do offer that service when ships are in port, see the bottom of this page: http://www.vtp.it/terminal/crociere.jsp?idm=443S487MZ0G43QU9&prg=8&page=8

There is also the left luggage office at Piazzale Roma, where you would arrive by land taxi from the airport: http://www.trasbagagli.it/en/pg/view/53/luggage-storage-venice-piazzale-roma-airport

HAL offered luggage storage for $4. But you had to go back to port.

The best option was:-

We got the people mover from port €1.30 each to Piazza Roma (one stop). Go out and around the corner you leave your bags for €7 per piece. Go back, get your bags and get the express bus (across the road) to the airport for €6 pp. bus goes every 20 minutes.

Easy as! :D

Ok noticed you are coming in so reverse the process. Get express bus to piazza Roma. Leave bags. Get people mover to the port.

Can the luggage be left overnight at the train station? We are taking sidetrip from Venice to Florence. Wondering about costs/feasibility on leaving largest bag. Thanks

I've only used the Cooperativa Transbaglia .... their fee is for a 24 hr cycle and we left ours for a couple days.

Your suggestion looks cheapest -- I briefly looked at links. I assume the Cooperativa T. is located at P. Roma. Is it easy to find there?

I appreciate all your advice Mapleleaves. I see your contributions on this board alot!
