Tony O Posted August 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2014 DW and I were in Labadee last week on the Explorer and we stayed in a grand suite. Well have to say the upgrade buffet was more than an upgrade. On our cruise Denzil our concierge arranged a invitation only lunch gathering at Dragon's Breath bar for suites and pinnacles. We had Lobster in a cut out cantaloupe with a seafood salad, shrimp on a skewer, bacon wrapped scallops, beef shish kabobs and chicken and desserts. Also, there was a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic beveages. We had the Captain and many senior staff join us. Truly a special event. Not sure if this is going flletwide or not. Well cutbacks have also occurred here. We were just there as suite guests on our Allure July 27th. cruise. Previously we were provided with free floaties and snorkel gear. This year no snorkel gear and the attendant told us we would have to pay for the floaties................but, we did not....... he got us two. We gave the usual generous tip as previous years. Was the Hotel Director John Denton? John used to have a special lunch party at the Wacky Sea Gull Jr when the Monarch dropped anchor at Coco Cay. Maybe he is carrying on the tradition with the Explorer. We will be on Explorer in Jan 15 and would love to have this opportunity. Last week we were on the Freedom and there was nothing like this on Labadee, at least as far as I am aware, so I don't think it's fleetwide. Now that's a Hotel Director...WOW we sailed with him on Explorer for 3 B2B's and had an amazing time. He hosted a Capitan's table on one formal night and it was a blast! 4cats,1dog Posted August 30, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted August 30, 2014 We convinced another couple that we met in Concierge lounge on Radiance - Alaska this past May , to join us on this trip. So we decided to book a cabana after all. I e-mailed the concierge. Anyone have experience with Concierge on Liberty of the Seas? How was your Cabana Experience? Thanks for your assistance.
