What time zone for Alaska ports?

Hi, all... Wasn't sure if I should post this on Alaska or Carnival but, since it's specific to Carnival's practice, I chose here. Anyway, my family and I will be going to Alaska next July (YAY!!!). I had a question about the itinerary and ship vs port time. It says we are in Skagway from 7am-9pm, but I know Skagway is one hour behind Seattle where we embark. Does that mean we arrive at 7am Skagway time? Or do they keep "ship" time the same as Seattle, which would make our arrival time 6am local? Trying to make some plans with outside companies. I'd really appreciate input from anyone who has actually sailed to Alaska with Carnival, preferably a round-trip from Seattle. Never can be too sure... Thanks!

Ship time.

 

It is a different ship next year, but this year, the ship has been adjusting ship time to Alaska time. YMMV.

Most ships adjust to Alaska time when in Alaska.

We just cruised on Miracle last month. We set our clocks back one hour before reaching the Alaska ports and then set our clocks ahead one hour before arriving in Victoria on the last day.

...the Fun Times will also have printed reminders on the front cover to adjust your clocks/watches when you hit port. It's an hour back from Pacific Time.

I'm sailing to Alaska in just over 3-weeks so perhaps I'll set my watch to Alaska time now! ;)
