Now! :(

And, we're not on it. On Friday, I had to cancel our vacation to Barcelona and the Transatlantic crossing on the Noordam.

Tooth pain that I ignored (hoping it would go away) and trying to convince myself it was sinuses . Wrong. My dentist took xrays and she sent me to the endodontist who has done several root canals. I have a fractured root canal and an abscess. She had put me on Amoxycillin but it didn't do much so the endo. switched to a stronger antibiotic. Finally feeling better. Seeing the oral surgeon for it to be extracted and then an implant.

So, no cruise for us. I'm counting our blessings...this is the first we've cancelled. And, I hope last!

How horrible!!

Hope you get all your teeth problems straightened out.

Glad you weren't on the cruise when the pain got worse.

Oh I feel your pain! one trip to my dentist and two trips to the specialist right before my last cruise....they thought either cracked tooth or root canal needed but I lucked out and it was a traumatized tooth from biting down on an olive pit:eek: It calmed down and I was able to make my repo cruise on the Westerdam...

Hope insurance reimbursement will go well....we had to leave a cruise in St. Thomas several years ago due to a MVA....we did get reimbursed for everything except for my sun hat I lost in the wreck....positive thoughts as you go thru the process...

What a disappointment for you - all the planning and excitement, and the letdown of having to cancel. Hopefully your tooth issues will be easily resolved (and quickly, too!) so you can begin planning your next adventure!

Smooth Sailing ! :) :) :)

I actually think I must have fractured this root canaled tooth on the Maasdam end of January. The seas were rough; I fell and broke a veneer. This tooth is two teeth over from that one. It's all I can think of for trauma. I'm out of luck because I never filed a claim with Travel Guard...and don't really know that this type of "accident" would be covered by them anyway.
