Stefanosthecruiselover Posted November 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2014 What is there to do there after sunset? We will be arriving just before dark for a one night stay. Also, what is there to do in the morning before check out. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare geoherb Posted November 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2014 You can go to the Bimini Boatyard for dinner. It's right next door. If you're up to walking more, there are plenty of restaurants within less than a mile. Total Wine is where we always go to buy a few bottles for our cruise. It's also walking distance. In the morning, our tradition is to walk to the top of the bridge to see the cruise ships in port.
royalcruz Posted November 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2014 The pool bar is open in the evening and you can eat dinner there. If it's outdoor weather, it might be fun.

LuckiStac13*Majesty* Posted November 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2014 Royal: Hopefully the OP doesn't mind me jumping in here with my own question. I am trying to find a hotel close to the beach for 1/26 -1/30 for a short vacation with my parents. Obviously, the beach hotels are pretty high in January, so I'm looking at other options. Do you think I'd be okay for 4 nights here without a car? I am very familiar with the area, but have never stayed at the Hilton Marina. How nice is the pool area? Really we are looking to just chill at the pool and beach for 4 nights. Decent food at the pool?

Yes, you can absolutely spend five nights here without a car, the pool is nice, you can always jump on the water taxi to head to Las Olas or other areas. Stefanosthecruiselover Posted November 15, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted November 15, 2014 I have a bother question for everybody: what rooms would you recommend. I was thinking about the pool view room (only 12$ more than the standard one) Sent from my iPad using Forums

nhraformula00 Posted November 16, 2014 #10 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Tower rooms are much nicer. The pool area rooms are the ones that get the bad reviews on trip advisor.
scotslizzy Posted November 16, 2014 #11 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Thankfully we have booked a tower room for our stay so no problems with that. I did get a bit nervous about our booking after reading trip advisor and was just about to cancel .But I have another question . Can you tell me is there a water taxi nearby ? scotslizzy Posted November 16, 2014 #14 Share Posted November 16, 2014 We did the water taxi this feb and enjoyed the novel way of getting around. No def plan as yet but I like to have the option of using this. Scotslizzy
aurelius180 Posted November 16, 2014 #15 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Here are a couple of pictures of a tower room - 1226. The room was nice and clean. Service was spotty at best during our stay. The doormen/bellhops were tremendously helpful and nice but we found most of the other staff to be not as much.

Rates are on the website. There also is the sun trolley which has a website with routes to different areas. That runs around a dollar a ride.
