Smoking on the Regal Princess

Where can you smoke on the Regal Princess besides Churchills?

On the Royal, the aft of deck 16 is a large carpeted area with coffee and tea on site in the morning and servers onsite the rest of the day.

On the Regal's deck plan, they show a pool in that area.

Is there another area where smoking is permitted?

I believe on the Royal it was Deck 17. You could only get there from the aft elevators or walking towards the aft from 16 and going up one deck.

Check deck 17 on the Regal to see if that is where it is.:)

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, the smoking area on the Royal was aft on deck 17, not 16 as I said, and was the BEST smoking area I've enjoyed on the various Princess ships I've sailed.

Doing the Royal again in a couple of weeks then the Regal in March.

I hope the info is correct that we will be able to smoke aft deck 17 even though the put in a small pool

Just off the Regal. Deck 17 aft is still the smoking area. There is a covered area with chairs as well as the sun loungers. Staff put ashtrays in the sunning area as well as the covered area.

What area outside on Deck7 aft is smoking allowed? Trying to help my Sister in law pick an inside stateroom where she won't have far too go to smoke but I can't figure out where on Deck 7 it's allowed, can someone be more specific> Is it closer to the Vista Lounge or Crooners? Thanks for any help.

A smoking area is located all the way aft of the ship on Deck 7-exit the exterior doors by the Vista Lounge on the Starboard side only. There is no smoking permitted on the Port side at all. Crooners is mid-ship/port side and no smoking is permitted on the deck outside, as well as the sitting area outside of Facets on Starboard.

Yes those darn smokers (with a laugh in my voice) did take up a lot of PRIME real estate on board the Regal. LOL.

The entire casino is not a smoking area and there are total non-smoking nights.

Does that mean they have sections that are vented for non-smokers? I know about the smoke free nights. I was a smoker ( have lung issues no not because I smoked) I don't mind the smoke that much to each his own. However hubby won't go to the casino at night with me because of this issue. Now if it is vented maybe he will.

Thanks

I can't answer correctly about their ventilation system. BUT I am also a non-smoker and I wasn't bothered by smoke unless a person was right next to me and blowing it in my direction. I guess it depends too on the make up of the passengers. If you have a lot of smokers, you get a lot of smoke.

I do not smoke; however, heavy smoking bothers me to some extent.

That is why I "scope out" the smoking areas.

To answer your question; the smoking side in the Casino (Starboard Side), on both the Royal and Regal, is separated by the main walk way and Table Games.

There are Slot Machines in both the Smoking Area and the non-Smoking Area.

So, unless one is playing the Slots in the Smoking Area you will not be bothered by your neighbor.

The ventilation system, in my opinion, is quite adequate.

Can anyone confirm definitely if there is still smoking on deck 17 aft on the Regal Princess...I see the deck plan is NOT the same as the Royal Princess (that I was just on) and that there is a pool on deck 17 aft where the smoking area is on the Royal...I would greatly appreciate any feedback...please non smokers keep negative comments to yourself...99% of the ship is non smoking...I know the Royal had only a tiny standing area on 7 aft, the 17 aft area which was nice (unless your room was in the front like mine was), and Churchills...the casino had 3 non smoking nights (I refuse to gamble on those nights)...thank you all so much

Melanie

Yes there is a smoking area there on deck 17 aft next to the dipping pool.

We noticed a ton of soot all over the decks there. :(
