[FONT=Comic Sans MS][SIZE=4][COLOR=darkorchid]This morning a few of us had our drink coupon to use and we love going to the MDR for brunch (only on sea days) so we headed to the dinning room. Their was a line. Once we reached the front of the line we were greeted by the staff, they apologized and said brunch is running slow this morning. I told the staff we are in no hurry. We are on vacation. They smiled and took us to our table. Once we sat down, the bar waiter came to our table and took our drink orders with our drink coupon. My dad already used his on the first sea day but he bought a drink.[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]

I just wish our first Maitre'D on our first leg of the trip would of sent us a card to let us know about our change of dinning time we requested on our second leg of the trip if he could or couldn't help us or at least suggest us going to the other dinning room. He never did get back to us.[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]

Thanks for the great review. We were on the cruise to Nas/HMC just a week or so before you and you brought back great memories.

2 questions...

1. How would you compare HMC to Little Stirrup? We both need plenty of shade which we found on HMC.

2. Do the porthole covers actually close? Never been in a PH, but it may work for us.

Thank you so much for your review, I have always wanted to do a B2B, but then I figure i'll just go to another port and sail out of there, but you can see that the Fascination is my favorite! And we always do a porthole, love the light, and the cost is the same as an interior. I too love the Riviera deck, so nice when you get back all wet from a day in the sea. but DH loves the Empress, closer to "ship" things, and he has some mobility issues, so we have recently changed to that deck. to do so we have to book early!

You brought back some great memories, and got me all excited about our upcoming September (anniversary)cruise.

I love your pictures, really like the one that looks like a giant seagull is about to attack the boat! LOL! Loved it!

On your questions...

1- the difference of HMC and Little Stirrup Cay is so similar in both ports. Both tenders. Both have a lunch on the island. Little Stirrup Cay is bigger. The water at Little Stirrup Cay is so shallow and you have to walk further in the water to get into deeper water. HMC sand is so soft. It feels like silk. HMC is a smaller island. If I had to choose my favorite, I would pick HMC. I never had tropical fish swim around my feet like HMC. It was awesome!!

2- This was our first Port Hole cabin plus we never been up front on a ship before. We loved having the small windows. We never closed the Port Holes but there is a heavy curtain in front of them to use to cover the Port Holes and make the room dark and quiet. At night we could hear the waves crashing near our window. When it was time to dock, we would hear a loud noise (think it might of been the anchor) dropping. An extra bonus is having the window seat near the Port Holes. Carnival did an awesome job choosing our room for our B2B cruise! [/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]

I have been to HMC 4 times (3x with HAL and 1x with Carnival). It is amazing. I think I could make that my only port of call on a Bahammas cruise and be happy!

Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into your review. We will be doing our first B2B on the Fascination in April. Hove done 2 previously -- one on the Dream and one on the Sunshine.

I particularly liked the photos you took through the port holes framing an object outside the ship and the way the dining room ceiling lights were reflected off of some of the soups and the white dishes in the MDR.

Your cabin steward must have been a patient person keeping your towel animal zoo in tact. I can't even move one from our bed to the couch without it falling apart. :D
