Last year we were on the Equinox and noticed the Celebrity Photo Shop was selling the GoPro Hero3 Black.

Does any who was recently on a Celebrity Cruise know if they are selling the GoPro Hero 4 Black or Silver and for what price?

They are. The prices are exactly the same as the US prices everywhere. Like Apple, GoPro is very good at controlling the price on their products at retail.

We ended up buying a GoPro HERO4 Silver aboard Eclipse last month. It was priced at $399.99. We looked to buy one on Curacao but it was more expensive ($450). Best Buy had the GoPro HERO4 Silver discounted to $349.99 last week.

 

We did not see any GoPro HERO4 Black models for sale on board. Don't know if they don't stock them or if they were sold out.

Thanks everyone! I go on the Reflection next month! Most likely will buy before cruise! Will look at Best Buy or Walmart to see if they give gift cards or something as incentive to buy.

Not sure if you will be near or in the state of New Hampshire or Delaware before the cruise, but they have no sales tax, so that could be an option to get it for less.

Vulcan1971. Unfortunately I live too far from either states! The tax saved would disappear with my gas and toll costs. I appreciate the suggestion!

Just remember you do not get a memory card with a new Go Pro. I would suggest buying one off of ebay or Amazon before you go. They were very expensive on the ship.

I wouldn't buy a GoPro from anywhere other than REI. They have the best return policy. I use my GoPro to scubadive and I know that if it floods REI will take it back for a cash refund or exchange no questions asked. Best customer service store I know!
