All appetizers were individual. The only change was the table got a basket of assorted bread. Thankfully no more waiting for the waiter to come.

Bread basket at table is awesome.

Can anyone tell me the size of kids menu entrees- is hamburger an adult size?

Thank you so much for posting these new menus....very nice:D

I now have a question about the seafood offerings....it still seems that the only fish offered daily is the salmon.....

Unfortunately, we are completely tired of salmon or talapia.:( We were wondering if we could ask if there was another fish available, could we request it in the MDR at dinner?

We love mahi-mahi, red snapper, etc. and all firm, white fish, and would love to be able to know something other than salmon could be offered...

It has been my experience that given enough time they will try to help.

So perhaps speak with maitre'd sand request another type of fish for next night etc. that way may be able to prepare it.

How about fish fingers from kids menu? ( just kidding)

Generally the menu looks great. Some new additions and several old favorites. One thing I will miss, however, is that they no longer have chicken strips as an appetizer. They also removed them from ships that have Guy's Burgers, so one of my favorites has gone the way of the grilled cheese triangles that I also miss. Overall, though, a good menu.

From an observation the new menus have some great items and good changes. I especially like the look of the flatbreads and the port of call options are a good idea (hopefully they do local cuisine justice).

However, the desserts have been limited somewhat which is a shame, as well as some varying seafood options. Many will whoop to see Bitter and Blanc as an option there though.

That being said, I am an easy person to please food wise as I will eat almost anything so will still resume my normal dining room habits on the Vista next year.

I totally agree with this! LOVE the chicken tenders!

We had these menus on Liberty in September and loved them. I wish these menus were available now on all ships. As another poster mentioned, I don't understand why people don't like these. The new menus are so much better than the old ones.

I was looking for any food photos cruisers may have taken of some of the items from American Table.

I wonder if the Imagination/Inspiration have gotten the new menus on the 3/4 day cruises? Can anyone confirm?

Of course, they will probably be different by October.

This is a direct quote from Carnival Ambassador John Heald's facebook page:

"The new and improved American Table menu that features many of your requests and lots of new and now extremley popular items can be found on Carnival Liberty, Carnival Glory, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Imagination , Carnival Freedom and Carnival Breeze."

I assume the new American table menus are being tweaked on those ships first.

If you are not familiar with poster zydecocruiser, she has a great page covering the menu including American Table. check her site at zydecocruiser dot net

I have some food porn from the American Table menus on my Carnival Liberty review which is in my signature.

Thanks for posting! We enjoyed these menus on the Liberty last year, and for the life of me, I can't understand why some people are upset over them. Most of the old favorites are still available.

We enjoyed them on the Liberty last year also.

Just got Glory Feb 28th with American Table and had most of these items. I'm kicking myself because I may have missed Bitter and Blanc. We had a bread pudding listed but it was not called B&B. Oh well.

Anyway, I found the hot soups to be lacking in flavor over past cruises and NOBODY at our table liked the breaded fried shrimp that we had the first night. It was mostly breading. With that being said, the flatbread was FANTASTIC, especially the bar b q chicken one. Several times we requested entrees as appetizers...cannelloni, lasagna, and ravioli can all be served in a smaller portion.

Thank you for posting the menus. I'm going on the Dream next January. It's my 2nd cruise, but the first on Carnival. Everything looks so good on the new menus. I'm not sure how I'm going to decide what I'm going to eat lol. I'm not a picky eater and I love to try new things. Conch and Alligator are definitely on my list!:)

thanks for alerting me on zydeco... My faux pas....big apology.

I have followed your reviews before, but will go back & re familiarize - the whole review! glad to see how familiar names pop up.

I once again say how sorry I am about your loss, but how you continue to celebrate life & memories cruising created.
