packedandready Posted March 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2015 I've seen riders with their motorcycles on ships before but since I don't ride I've never paid much attention so asking for a friend. Can motorcycles be taken on any cruise (thinking out of Galveston) or are there just special ones set up? What is the cost and arrangements for this? Thanks
jamesr3939 Posted March 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2015 I have seen articles in Harley magazines on people doing that. I doubt all ships will do it. I have mostly seen it done in Europe and Alaska.

racerxspeedy Posted March 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2015 I randomly booked two cruises that included the Harley owners group. The group with bikes were allowed off first in both Bermuda and San Juan. They had police escort in Bermuda due to the noncompliance with engine size. It was great for them but created a bit of congestion in old San juan.
wendychloecruiser Posted March 24, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 24, 2015 How many bikes are we talking about?
packedandready Posted March 24, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted March 24, 2015 Thanks for the replies. We were on Celebrities Equinox last year and there was a large group with their bikes (do you call them bikes???). There were A BUNCH of bikes! I didn't know if they were only allowed with organized groups or if individuals/couples were allowed to bring them on. Will do a google search and see what I can find. racerxspeedy Posted March 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 24, 2015 How many bikes are we talking about? The Explorer "HOG" event was large - I am guessing over 100 bikes. RC did an amazing job getting all the bikes on and off. The local Bermudians lined the roads to see all the Harleys cruise by. I believe Bermuda is limited to 125cc "scooters" (and the Police use 250cc versions).
Grandma Dazzles Posted March 24, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 24, 2015 Know nothing about bikes but was on a cruise with a big group of riders (great people). I am pretty sure it was on the Independence of the Seas and we stopped in St. Kitts - St. Kitts I am sure about. They were allowed off first and I think there is an RC captain who rides a bike - Captain Johnny? He was with them. The only island that I remember seeing them disembark with all the bikes was St. Kitts.
