When's the best time to cruise to Spain

We've been looking at the Spain itineraries and wonder when to expect the best weather there - not too hot.

Silly me, :) we booked a 13 day cruise around the Iberian peninsula for July 1 2016.

Know it will be hot, but I will be prepared....:eek:

A similar itinerary is also offered in Oct 2015,but that date will not work for us.

have a nice C1 aft veranda with partial shade, it should work as a place to cool off after a all day on shore.

Smaller resort areas restaurants and bars do close down for the winter. Also weather does begin to turn. Late September, early October - would not recommend later.

Most times it is easy to see when the best time is by the prices. The best times are usually when the prices are higher, often referred to as prime time.

I would say June or September beg June end of Sept.

We arrived in Barcelona Oct 23/14 for a week pre cruise and the weather was fabulous! We were not out of shorts etc from the time we arrived in BCN until we ended up in FLL. Oh and another thing! I scoured the boards for the info on selecting a cabin for our first TA (westbound) ie Port or Starboard and the unanimous consensus was Port was the "sunny" side. Well the "sunny" side was so sunny we could only use our balcony early in the morning or after dark:( It was ripping out there lol

We were on the TA last fall (end of Oct./early Nov.) and it began in Barcelona and we did 3 additional cities in Spain and 2 in the Canary Islands. We were in Barcelona 2-1/2 days beforehand and the weather the entire time was glorious.

Crowds were minimal and it was just the perfect time. We had light jackets or a long sleeve in the evenings and early mornings, and it was maybe upper 70s during the afternoon. Perfect.
