Actually we will save that title for the next chapter, and actually call this one

Home Sweet Home!

We wanted to drop off our sweatshirts and the carry-on bag. Sooo we took a walk down to deck 7, they were still cleaning up. But we saw a room steward and asked him if we could just drop our bag into the closet. He said no prob, its almost ready anyhow. So hubby put it in and off we went to get lunch.

Once the boys found were Guys Burgers was, that's what was decided for lunch. Actually that was decided when we booked the cruise and I told them about it, they just needed to find it now. 2 piggys, 1 ringer, and a plain Jane were had. It was all delish and we knew that meant good things to come the rest of the week... like weight gain LOL. (food porn pics to come thru the week, the 1st day is always over whelming

IMG_0864.JPG

After taking a tour of the lido buffet and just browsing as we all were stuffed, we noticed it was 1pm and we could OFFICIALLY get into our room. Which was perfect as a few needed to go potty .. in peace LOL. So back to deck 7 we went.

I booked a balcony on our last cruise an have to say once you go BALCONY.. its hard to go back. I find thats my pleasure. No one in the family uses it as much as I do.. heck probably couldnt combine all 3 of their time on it to equal mine. Thats ok like I said its my happy time on the balcony.

Speaking of booking, in July of 2014 when I booked this cabin/cruise was $4674 and our travel agent gave us $350 onboard credit. But as we got closer to the cruise it went down down down.. in the end it was $3170. Since we had already paid $4000 of it off, that different ended up going on to our onboard credit. Words for us either way it gets spent. But since the cost of the cruise went down our onboard credit did also.. only $150. Still "FINE BY ME" (another Friends quote... the one where Rachel breaks up with Ross... again)

Bed can be put together or seperate to make 2 twin beds. I almost wanted to seperate them at times and reinact The I love Lucy Show... especially when hubby takes up my side and steals the covers.

IMG_0873.JPG

Take a good look at this clean desk area... like at home, in a matter of a few moments... days its full of clutter. I dont know how we do it. LOL.

Still plenty of room yet I wish they had more drawers where the vanity seat area is.. maybe thats just the hoarder in me talking.

IMG_0875.JPG

The sofa flops down to make a twin bed, then right over it they pull down the twin bunk. Take note, last time you will see the sofa lol.

IMG_0874.JPG

or the ceiling for that matter LOL.

The only thing I wish they would do in all cabins is the split bath. I know Disney has them, and on Carnival Breeze the Ocean View rooms have them. But it would be nice in a 4 person or more room if they had the split bath. We make it work though.

IMG_0876.JPG

Oh and a real shower... I can only take so much of the shower curtain sticking to my booty LOL

My safe haven... well for now P's haven.

IMG_0880.JPG

When we initally booked we were on deck 6, but as I watched the price drops and special offers, they eventually offered an upgrade to deck 7 for free so I nabbed it. Thought it would be better to put a little space between us and the Promenade deck.

IMG_0879.JPG

We were on the port side and to the left you saw chairs for the Red Frog Pub. Looking to the right you saw deck chairs for miles

Obligatory luggage mat pic.

I cant remember if J picked this up while we were out and about or if it was in our room already... either way, we never went to the orientation. But not a prob, I had pre-registered the boys and they got the sticker on their Sign and Sail Card stating they were in their respective clubs.

kids%2Borientation.jpg

Upon entering our room, there were 3 bottles of water for us as returning Carnival Members... all for the boys. Soo lets recap. We have been on 1 prior 8day cruise all 4 of us. On this cruise, I get a gold card, they get a red card. They get the water with letters address to them, I get NADA. ***?

Playlist show schedule was in our room, I'll let you know now we dont go to the shows. Sorry, I think they suck.... guess thats what happens when your 1st cruise is Disney and they set the bar HIGH!

show%2Bschedule.jpg

I had put the door decor in my carry on and took a quick moment to do up our door. Nothing fancy. I had planned something else but it was last minute and I decided not to do it... but I will for sure on our next one. This was just a collage pic of the 4 of us,

20150328_194603.jpg

Our cruise group was over 200+ people (not counting their family and friends) and a tshirt was designed along with a hashtag for everyone to post their pics to all the social media sites. (the hashtag was on the back of the shirt along with everyones names under the state they are from)

life%2Bbreeze.jpg

Then I made us a Cruise Bucket List.... wonder how many we will cross off??? Wait and see!!

bucketlist.png

I made a photo challenge, Im sure you all have seen them on Instagram, well this was like those monthly type challenges. Sadly.. I only did like 3 lol. I kept forgetting to post them.... actually can I blame it on the alcohol. lol

Unfortunately, they didnt allow anyone under 13 to use the app. Which was my purpose on keeping tabs on the kids. (I believe they are now changing that).

I hope they change this soon!

Now that we had explored our home... room7344, which was the 1st room right around the corner from the mid stairs and escalators. Decided it was time to start exploring, found the Theater and the start of selfies began.

IMG_0863.JPG

P found the outside workout area, he kept up his GTL (but for him the L stood for Lunch)

IMG_0871.JPG

Obligatory funnel pics are a must.

IMG_0872.JPG

Made our way down to the Red Frog Pub and the boys played a round of foosball. While I looked at the menu, that I didnt take pics of apparently.. see overwhelmed lol.

IMG_0887.JPG

Our roll call decided to do a meet and greet set for 3pm at the Aft Bar/Pool. It was awesome to put names and faces together. One gal made name tags (perfect for all of us to wear at the up coming events). Another gal had all of the events made into flyers, and handed those out to everyone. I posted them on our closet doors to help me remember each day.

We stayed enjoying each others company, it seemed like we were old friends, heck even family. Until it was time for the Mustard Drill (the boys still call it that LOL) Ours was in Circe C, perfect too as we finally saw where both clubs were, which was right next to each other on Deck 4 Aft. We met a few people from our meet up in there too.. Good to know if we go down, it will be among friends LOL... someone better share their door with me (Titanic reference)

IMG_0906.JPG

Once we were cleared to leave muster, which by the way, Im gonna reference Disney here, they make you line up (or at least did 8yrs ago) outside near your lifeboat. Then checked for each room/member by calling room # roll. At Carnival you just come in, watch how to put on a life jacket then your free to go. Guess I can look at it from 2 perspectives.. 1)Carnival has it under control and no need to do all of that. or 2)Were Screwed LOL

After being excused from Mustard (lol) We went up to the Lido Deck... Momma was thirsty, and finally got her 1st Drink of The Day!.. Cant remember what it was LOL but lots of pinapple, not so much alcohol. DISLIKE. As I sipped, someone napped... he doesnt get the nickname Grandpa for nothing.

I had enough liquid courage to volunteer for a game. Unfortunately I wasn't dressed correctly, the jean capris did not work in my favor.

IMG_0893.JPG

You see, they gave the 3 players a Carnival ship coin and you have to run from one point of the deck to the pool and drop our coin into a drinking glass... using your checks, and NOT the ones your face.

IMG_0897.JPG

Suffice to say I didn't win, so no free drink darn it, but I did get to keep the gold coin.. Guess they dont want it back after where it was huh lol. Really wish the kids got video but guess I cant be too mad they at least got a picture of me. So word to the wise if you want to win, wear leggings. The gal that won had them and it help keep things into place perfectly... cuz I will say its not for my lack of umm junk in my trunk lol.

IMG_20150328_145058.jpg

Then it was sailaway time, so we moved up to the top deck to feel the wind in our hair, and watch the world get smaller.

20150328_162023.jpg

A moment later a cruise photographer was there taking our picture and we had lost J. Oh well the picture came out cute, if only it was all of us... so I didnt buy it, just copied a bootleg of it. YUP Im that person.

20150329_111410.jpg

After taking the picture we heard a squeaky voice yell "Hey Guys, down here!" Found him!

Then we were next on deck to leave. We waved bye to the Celebrity peeps.

IMG_0916.JPG

I figured we would just push out then head towards the open waters, but we pushed out then went the opposite way. That threw us all off but we ended up making a u-turn in the harbor, before heading out.

IMG_0867.JPG

and were sailing

Miami is a pretty city to leave from

IMG_0869.JPG

As we were moving out, we got to watch a Sea plane take off, it was so neat, and a 1st for all of us.

Ohh I see smoke were moving. That means time for dancing!!

IMG_0929.JPG

I had become "Friends" with our CD and he would post different dances that they do on board. It helped to not be completely lost when learning them. I'm a fast learner but not under the influence LOL.

IMG_0958.JPG

Then it was time to Harlem Shake -

After multiple line dances they brought out the Seuss characters for the kids.

20150328_170204.jpg

Then did a conga line... that was my exit.Which was perfect as I was burned out... need to work dancing into my workout route!

20150328_170303.jpg

Adios Miami, Hello Fun! We couldnt wait for this... yet we had already started on the fun part!

We took this time to head to our room and see if the rest of our bags had arrived, and they were all there. The 4 of us worked quickly to hang clothes up, fyi bring extra hangers if you have more than 2 people. I always save our dry cleaning hangers since they are light to pack. We also use an over the door shoe holder for lotion, sunscreen, our S & S Cards, etc. It helps to keep the bathroom clutter free.

Once we were unpacked we enjoyed our balcony for a bit. Then we set the boys up on the HUB APP so that we could all text to keep in touch. It was then that we found out that they had to have money in their account in order to purchase the app. We dont allow them to charge, not because we dont trust them, just that we never have set it up that way. If they want something they find us to buy it for them. Anyhow we told them we told take care of that. We told them to meet us at the Blush Restaurant at 8pm for dinner.

CircleC1.jpg

(I will add a link to all the documents at the very end of the review incase the scan's arent that great/readable. )

CircleC2.jpg

We went to guest services and the line was pretty long now. But they had another person on the floor asking what people needed and if they were able to use the "atm type S & S kiosk" she sent them that way. So when she came to us she stated we could use it but needed to know their folio #... nope dont have that.. so back of the line we had to go! UGGG

Eventually we moved up, pretty quickly and put $25 on each of the boys cards so they could buy the app, and play video games etc if they wanted. We told them when its gone, its gone! (if they wanted a souvenir from the ship that would go on our card)

I had brought wine, so we popped that open and took a glass with us walking around. E and I set out to explore also. We came upon the Taste Bar, where todays selection was from the Italian place, Cucina Del Capitano.

20150328_175845.jpg

Meatballs and Bruchetta were available to sample. They hit the spot too. Went well with our wine! (ate them so fast no pics.. lol)

20150328_175847.jpg

Made our way to the Atrium and listened to some music, walked thru the shops. Then it was almost time for dinner. The boys were there waiting for us, as they still had the door closed. Once they let us in, we found our table on the upper right side. We had a booth to ourselves sort of in a lil nook area.

Of course they come around and get pics... we actually bought the 1st one. Only because it looks like they still like eachother, it happens from time to time.

J

20150329_111003.jpg

Again 1st night no food poor, it gets better I swear!

E had a cesar salad, while I had the corn chower, J had mac n cheese w/bacon, P has the quesadilla... and thats all they wanted. Apparently they already made friends and they all had the early dinning. We had the late, so basically they ate apps with us then left. Guess we got to enjoy eachothers company now.

IMG_7361.JPG

Before they left we finally connected them to the app and told them to be back by 1am. This is where we found out J couldnt log in because he was only 12. They stated you had to be 13, so we gave E's phone to him since he would be with me. Figured we just needed to go back to guest services to get that approved for him to use. (come to find out as the paying party/parent you cant over rule it, so that was a sort of a pain to not give E a phone but he usually was with me anyhow so not bad)

For main course, E had the flat iron steak and fries. I got the grilled Mahi Mahi which was on the Port of Call from Maimi menu. It was really good for both of us. Boys said they enjoyed their apps also.
