Buying one cheap carnival excursion in Belize will get my group of 4 on early tender?

I could not get FTTF so I am concerned about getting off in Belize in time to get to my non-carnival booked excursion in time. So what if I bought one cheap excursion ($40) through Carnival? Could I get my family of four on early tender with just one excursion ticket?

If it's managed anything like their past guests parties, I would say it won't be an issue. Worst case, your out $40.

I believe it's only supposed to be the person(s) actually on the excursion, but as eponym mentioned, it might work if you get a Carnival employee running the tender boat queues who doesn't know what they're doing :D

What time is your excursion? Most know the deal with the tenders, so just get on the first non carnival excursion tender and you should be fine. I've never had an issue.

My experience is they do check those tickets so only that person would be able to board early.

 

The excursion people know how tendering works. The boats are freq when tendering starts. I don't think the op will have a problem waiting for the first general tender. It will probably be within 30 min of start to tender.

You won't have a problem with your private excursion. Carnival excursions and private excursions usually leave at the same time from two different tender gangways. We picked up our tender ticket and was off the ship in 10 minutes.

In my experience they have always had us meet in the lounge and checked excursion tickets, so it would only be good for the individual on the excursion.

You shouldn't have issues. The private companies deal with this day in and day out. They don't expect you to be off first.

We've done tons of tenders and never ONCE have they checked our tickets for Carnival excursions. We are given a time to show up in the theater and then ushered out in the order we showed up.

 

We've done Belize without an excursion and I don't recall waiting much at all. Those tenders haul butt. Not like Grand Cayman where they take forever. It is a good 15-20 minute ride though.

We had a cabana on HMC and all excursions were to be in the theater at 9:00, and they escorted us all down to the tender boats. Not once did anyone check our tickets or ask to see them. Same thing getting off the ship. We had a post cruise excursion and got right off.

Keep checking for faster to the fun every day. Last time I was able to get it just a few days before the cruise, when other times I"ve bought it months ahead. Good luck

Why not just show up 30-40 minutes before they start handing out tender tickets so you'll be one of the first non-priority off the boat? That's what we always do.

I agree with what the others are saying.. The private excursion guys know the deal. Just get to the lounge early and explain you have a private excursion to need to get off early for and they will get you off quickly. Many of the Carnival excursions will pick up from the ship in their own tenders anyway so they should have 2 different gangways- one for going ashore and one for excursion tenders.
