aerosol bug repellent

I read on one site that someone's Off spray was confiscated by Alaska Airlines because it was aerosol. Looking at their website it looks like I can put a small one in my carryon or my checked luggage. Anybody have any experience with this? I have had trouble finding non-aerosol in my small town.

They are not allowed in carry ons. My Deep Woods Off, went on several flights in checked luggage.

What about getting the repellant after you land in Cascadia or in Alaska ports...

Get the "Off" individual packaged wipes instead. You can get a box of them...I get mine at Walmart. Much easier to take with you instead...and much better than all that spray :eek:

I had no problems with Off in my checked luggage with Alaska Air this week.

If it was in a carry-on, aerosol is allowed, but over three ounces is not.

It has nothing to do with Alaska airlines, it is a TSA issue. Don't take it in your carryon, instead put it in your checked luggage and you will not have any problem.

Pump Spray not considered HazMat but the carry on rules apply for liquids.

According to the chart in the link that Earplug posted (very helpful, thank you!), just put it in your checked bag. You won't need it in your carry-on when you land; you can transfer it later.
