For those that have sailings booked in 2018 and 2019 with CR, you may want to give them a call and have them check on your cruise fare. Just saved closed to $4000 on 6 of our sailings and I was still able to keep the refundable rates for all sailings and still got quoted casino rates for those 6 cruises. All of our price drops are on sailings that are 9, 11 & 12 nighters, so that may be why the HUGE price drop on each one.

None of our sailings in the next 6 months went down, only up. The price drops I just received started with cruises sailing May 2018 to April 2019. Five out of the 6 sailings we're in a SJS on Anthem so don't know if the ship and category could be the reason for these huge price drops and our other price drop was for a balcony.

Today was my lucky day in more ways than one, I felt like I got a few hand-pays today :'), wishing you guys the same luck I had today. :D

Woohoo !

Were you already booked with CR casino discounts ? When you went to the website was there a visible price drop for your category ?

Yes I was already booked with casino rates when all these sailings first came out. Didn't see any updates on the website, I was just calling to check on a sold out cruise in which I was put on a wait-list. Anyway, I mistakenly said these were all refundable rates, my mistake. Even though the rep was telling me they were ALL refundable rates, I'm okay with this since we hardly ever cancel a cruise and the amount of money we save was well worth it to us. Saving $700 or $800 on one cruise is a lot, even if I move it or change the sail date, I will only lose $200, still worth it to me to go non refundable.

Hi Alla, I spoke too quickly and wanted to give everyone a heads up and come to find out my savings were due to non-refundable deposit. I'm okay with this, the savings was quite nice, now I'm going to book another cruise anyway with the money I saved-------lol.

Looking forward to us getting together once again :D, say hi to Boris for me.

My mistake, my savings were due to NFD, I'm okay with it. I still feel like I won a few hand-pays :D without paying taxes :D

Hi Mary. Good for at least winning something! I agree with your observation.- this weekend I played the most I've played on a 3 night cruise and I lost a large amount too. Probably the MOST I ever lost. All I got was a comp. inside stateroom. VERY disappointing. At this level i used to get at LEAST OV or balcony certificate. There is definitely a scale back of what they are giving us for our play! Not much else to do except I'm just going to gamble LESS

It's difficult to rack up points of a 3 or 4 day cruise. I think this is a flaw in the grading play system.

Was this after you book with CR? The reason I ask, typically we have been getting about $2-3K per cruise discount with the CR (7 nights). Is this $4000 above what you already received?

Thank you.....

Thank you.....

Sailings were booked when itineraries first came out, each sailing originally had a hefty discount like yours :D The $4000 is an addition to the hefty discount and was due to changing the sailings to the NRD (Non Refundable Deposit) on 6 sailings.

Oh, ok.... thanks for the reply. Under new plans, Suites are NFD going forward, I think.

Yes I do believe you are correct. I was looking at some cruises in 2018 and when I chose the refundable deposit I that came up were JS, when I chose NFD then the other suite categories come up.

Had my TA check on all of my bookings and can only save on one of them - the Panama Canal cruise on Vision in Nov 18. If I am willing to switch from Refundable to Nonrefundable I will save $2K. Since this is one cruise that I will definitely be keeping (not that I'm not planning on keeping them all, right now) I told her to go ahead and make the change. Saving $2K is worth a low risk chance of losing $200.

All 5 of my other bookings are higher even with switching to NRD so no savings there.

Thanks for the heads up. Since the Panama Canal cruise is sold out my category (suites) I could not determine that there was that big a difference in the baseline prices. Having my TA was the only way to know about it.

Yes, my TA verified (although I already knew this) that any changes made to a suite booking would change from a refundable deposit to a non refundable deposit.

I checked two of my upcoming sailings and, according to Club Royale, both went up. No savings for me. :(

I thought I'd check to see whether non-refundable deposit pricing might be cheaper. Indeed, my March 2019 cruise could save a bit if I switched to a non-refundable deposit, but for a net savings of just $80, it's not worth it.

I wouldn't do it for $80 either, Marc. ...but for $2000 I think the risk to reward factor makes it a good move.

Table players- verify your average bets onboard. My average bet is always $75 on roulette. Last night of the cruise, I checked and they said my average bet was $28! I'm was pretty upset. I told them to correct it. It's not even CLOSE to my avg. Will they or did they correct it? I don't know and I have no

Way to know.

At Baha Mar Saturday, they were able to tell me everything - avg bet, time, points. They were accurate. Why can't RCI do this?

I have never gotten even one email from Club royale but they always give me a free cruise in the casino and the club always books my cruises with a decent discount as well- why dont i get any emails?

Simply just call CR and ask to verify if your email in their marketing list :)
