IF gambling for "perks" Carnival is not the cruise line to be on, NCL is owned by a casino group and does it well, Celebrity just partnered with MGM and depending on your level of play has some nice perks.

Now Carnival does do some nice things for us that do play but please do not play for the perks, play to play and if you get something then WooHoo!

I know my husband took $300 to gamble on for the week. I require more sleep so I went to bed, he went to play, blackjack mainly. He is very social and by day two, they knew him by name. He was up $50 at that point, getting $10-25 a hand depending on if he was up or not, etc. by day three he was given a drink card. Day four they sent a dessert tray to the room. Day five, still lingering around what dh had brought, they comped us the steakhouse. Last day he ended up losing the $300 and they offered a free inside cruise on a paper under his door. He played a lot of time and hog to know everyone but didn't spend a large amount of money.

My wife thinks I only bring $300 also

BIL used to tell us about all the times he would win a few thousand at a casino.

Than we started wondering why he never told us when he lost.

Few years later lost his wife and family.

Sorry but it makes me wonder when people talk about how wonderful gambling is. If you have the money to lose go for it but way too many lose everything.

We are about to go on our 2nd free cruise of the year - courtesy of our casino play.

5000 points - no - we didn't gamble $5,000. BUT we did cycle thru that much. Last night of the cruise there was a "bounce-back" offer for a free inside cabin.

While on the freebie, we also earned a free cruise which we will take in August.

In addition to racking up the 5000 points on your card you must NOT have a Carnival cruise already booked.

This will be a working cruise - I go to the shows and DH works on earning a free cruise from the casino.

Haha Bases5, unless my hubby who works 7 days a week and coaches year round has a side job in his nonexistent spare time, that's all he took....I handle all the money and we budget tightly. :)

Anyone have experience receiving bounceback offers (i.e., free cruise after earning 5,000 points) on Casino Premier cruises?

I know I usually don't get bounceback offers (in general, not just on Premier cruises) because I have another cruise booked, but I'm going on a Premier cruise next week and I don't have another booked, for once. Whether there's an offer for a free cruise may determine whether I get up to 5,000 points.

I didn't receive a bounce-back offer while on Conquest at the beginning of the month (Premier cruise). I'm not sure how many points I had because I mostly played Roulette. But the morning of the last day, when I went to sign up for the Premier slot tournament, I had 4,000 table points and some slot points.

I played Roulette a few times during the day and evening. I'm pretty sure I had over 5,000 points by the end of the day.

No offer.

Yes, I had 3 more cruises booked. I almost always have a cruise (or multiple cruises) booked when I sail.

IMHO, it's just wrong to not give bounce-back offers to people just because they have a cruise booked. If you reach the threshold for an offer, you should receive it. Having a cruise booked should have nothing to do with it!

My husband and I each received a "bounceback offer" on our last premier cruise-last March on the Pride.

However I did have 13,000+ points!
