Are tips included in the Casino drink card?

I never thought it did but met someone who said it did.

but he earned his drink card (HOT tier level) where as mine was given by my land casino ('free' cruise.)

The 18% service charge / gratuity is included with the CAS drink card. However, most people still give the server a dollar or two when they get their drink.

I too always give at least a dollar per drink. Otherwise,I haven't tipped them anything, if NCL is proving their share of the 18%, that's good. I always have great service in the casino, I also take care of my dealers too, and many don't.

Hi,

Am going on the Epic in a few weeks fro a 14 day B/B and will probably spend every evening in the casino. What should I do to get a free drinks card? I've been on Carnival and know how they do it!!!!

Will be playing table games. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Do the drinks show up on your folio with the CAS free drink card? I have my free drinks in the casino with Caears Entertainment on the BA. On a previous NCL cruise, no charges were recorded but not sure how they do it on the BA.

We do tip a dollar a drink in the casino. Many times we would just go to the casino bartender for a drink and then always tip him.

If they're already getting 18%, why give another dollar?

Does the 18% not seem "real" just because you're not physically giving it to the bartender?

Am not sure how that 18% is divvied up among bartenders and servers. So I always tip the server a dollar for bringing the drink to my machine.

If I am playing at a machine at the bar, no tip.

The drinks are free ...The servers deserve something for their attention to us!

Do you really need to ask this and do you normally tip or not tip in a casino on the comped drinks?

i usually give a $1 tip because i thought the casino drink card didn't have tips included.

but if it does, then I'm stopping.

no more guilt trip!

and i wish tipping went way completely for ALL of the USA!!

guess when i make my next CAS reservation later this year, i'll ask about it.

Two weeks ago on the Breakaway I see a debit and credit of $2.50 for bottled water. I don't drink alcohol, does the $2.50 include the 18% or not?

it should. the final amount on your statement for drinks includes the tip.

look up the water package on ncl.com and see if tip is auto-added?

Enjoy looking for a server for a drink.

In the mean time I'll enjoy not having to order one, because when it's half gone I will already have another.

Wife and I are usually near each other, two drinks, two bucks. By day two servers pay attention.

Last year I sailed the Jewel twice and Getaway twice, both times servers in the casino remembered us from previous cruise and never any wait and it was like friends reuniting.

Are you correct in gratuity is included and don't feel the need to tip. Sure, I guess.

Me, I don't like to wait.

Drinking top shelf liquor for a buck......... no brainer.

Whether I should or shouldn't tip is not my main concern. Service is what I'm looking for and I can tell you, the service is much more attentive when you tip a buck. We tip the same in the ship's casino that we do in Vegas while playing. I'm not big on drinking alcohol while playing (the money seems to go way faster for me while drinking ), but, on our last cruise on the Getaway, I discovered the Burnt Almond from O'Sheehans. Dang those things are good. A buck tip had a server stopping to ask if we needed anything every time they passed by.

While on the NCL Sun, every night before dinner we would go to the casino bar and get a drink to take into dinner. There were 6 of us and the bartender was always assured of getting at least a $10 tip. He looked forward to us coming in every night before dinner. When we gambled, we also went to the bar for drinks. Needless to say, the bartender knew us by the second day. We only had free drinks in the casino. Did not have UBP.
