Can I make an 11am flight out of LAX?

Pretty tight. How are you going to get to LAX? Private transfer is the only way to even consider this early a flight.

Don't do it. From my experience, the Port of Los Angles is prone to debarkation delay. Just getting to LAX by 11am can be an accomplishment.

Which port? We have two. What day of the week?

 

Need to be at LAX by 9. It's 30 minutes to LAX with no traffic/accidents/construction/debris. Leaving that early you'll be hitting port traffic-Semis and trailers. Lately CBP (San Pedro and Long Beach) has been doing full checks, not just collecting the forms. Unless you have priority you'll be in the second group off the ship.

 

Did you check other airports--SNA and LGB?

Ok thanks everyone. I was just going to grab a taxi. I think I will stick with the 2pm flight. No sense in having the added stress!

The last time we disembarked in San Pedro we got off the ship around 10:00 - 10:15. Then we stood in line for about 30 minutes to clear customs minutes, We were one of the first groups to get off. Fog delay. Walk offs left about 9:45 - 10:00 or so.

 

From San Pedro to LAX figure 30 to 45 minutes under the best traffic conditions. There is no such thing as best traffic conditions in LA. LAX traffic can be a problem due to construction.

Last week we were first off in Long Beach--8:30 with priority self assist debarkation. We would have been cutting it close.

Looking at a 1 pm flight out of LAX. Haven't booked it yet but was wondering if that would work. Otherwise, we'll have to go with a red eye :(

 

And also looking for information about what might work best ... taxi? transfer shuttle? Princess transfer?

Never know what you'll encounter at LAX.

Just dropped DD off at LAX. Cars were backed up before the Tunnel to enter the airport. Took forever to get to the parking structures.
